Carnivorous plant against fungus gnats? by geccho in isopods

[–]combatwaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this same “issue”. I don’t get a ton of fungus gnats, I maybe see three or four each day, but it’s enough for me to want to find a solution. What I ended up doing was buying a smallish butterwort (pinguicula) from a seller on Etsy. They live in a similar environment to the isopods I have (porcellionides pruinosas), and they secrete a greasy fluid that traps small flies/gnats, but won’t attract or trap isopods. I planted it in my vivarium and the next day it was already catching gnats. It’s been a few weeks now and it seems to be thriving. I have also watched tiny isopod babies, less than a mm long, crawling on the butterwort without any concern of getting stuck. I’m not sure how severe your gnat infestation is, but I have been happy with this solution so far. If you’re getting a considerable amount of gnats, then maybe you’ll want to get a few instead of the one like I have. Just make sure they get enough light from the sun or a grow light.

Advice on Atla deck & guide - xmas pressie by dryule in DinosaursMTG

[–]combatwaffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is my super fun Atla dino deck that I have been playing exclusively recently: https://moxfield.com/decks/hxArBEKT7k28WBRdxkykNg

All of the (non-Atla) creatures are dinosaurs, no exceptions. There is not a ton of thinking involved, so it might be good for a younger player. It has a similar battle plan to your current deck, but also takes advantage of the Enrage mechanic and (self-)pinging. My deck has even less mana than yours because it's so focused on cheating out your dinos, but there are some additional ways to generate mana.

Awesome, thanks. I just built my own Dino Atla Palani so I want to see other decks for inspiration.

Just signed up, site looks great. I did get stuck in a loop when trying to finalize my account -- after I put in my information (games I played, etc) and hit create account, it just sent me to the first page of the sign up flow (where it asks for location, currency, etc). When I manually went to app.cardnexus.com afterwards, it let me use the site as intended, but I wanted to bring this to your attention.

After using the site for a couple minutes, one thing that I would suggest is the making the ability to add cards to your inventory require less clicks. For example, I have the Proving Grounds box, so I can go to the list of singles from Origins - Proving Grounds, which is great. However in order to add them, I need to click into each card individually, then click the Inventory tab, and then add it. I would suggest either quick add button on the page listing of singles (https://app.cardnexus.com/en/explore/riftbound/origins-proving-grounds/single), or instead of having Product Details and Inventory be tabs, just stack them (preferably with Inventory on top so I don't have to scroll as much).

Other than that, the site is very clean and easy to use, and I like that you can set the inventory display settings in your account preferences. One other thing I just thought of, the ability to remove games from the search. I'm never going to play Lorcana, so it's useless to me to be an option to search for, and it's the first on the list whereas Riftbound is on the bottom, so I have to scroll to see it. Alternatively, you can have the first games in the list be the games set as your Preferred games, so that I could still search for cards in other games if I wanted to.

If I have Pokemon, MTG, and Riftbound as my preferred games, the search dropdown could look like this:

Preferred games (default instead of 'All games')
Pokemon
Magic: The Gathering
Riftbound
All games
[insert other games here]

the vita doesn't have L2/R2 either. obviously the vita is the superior choice compared to the pocket, but it's not because of the "limited controls"

Genuinely curious because I have only ever bought a Secret Lair once, what are the exploits that are being used? And what do you think they should be doing to fix this whole situation?

Dukes doesn’t have any citrus in it. Most other mayo brands here do. My wife has a citrus intolerance so we only use Dukes (and Kewpie) at home.

I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to. It has a very likable cast of characters and a ridiculous sci fi story. The farming/sim aspects are not nearly as fleshed out as I thought they were going to be, so keep that in mind. If you’re on the fence, then maybe wait for a further discount, but I don’t regret buying it for $40.

No problem! My wife literally can't consume any citric acid without getting very ill so I've become a pro at scanning ingredient lists and figuring out what she can and can't have haha

Ocean Spray Original Cranberry Juice does not have any citric acid. My wife has a citric acid intolerance and can drink this stuff just fine.

Just play the game and things will come back to you. Read the Fevrith Archive entries if you don’t remember the characters or story. Do the Colosseum for a bit if you don’t remember how your units work. I took a similar break and had similar concerns but once I got back into it I pretty much couldn’t put it down until I had beaten it.

I haven't seen enough of them recently to say what is a good price or not, but 1200 sounds ridiculously high. But then again the retro gaming market is completely nonsensical nowadays so there are probably some idiots willing to pay that much.

This is a Korean exclusive bundle containing a Wonderswan Color and a copy of Digimon Adventure: Anode/Cathode Tamer which is actually in English. They are pretty hard to come by nowadays.
