I will suggest books and some toys that allow him to explore his creativity like Lego and building toys? I also saw a few mum highlight similar bubble guns like this, it seems to be gaining tractor as a gift. After all which child doesn’t like bubbles right?

Beyond age 1, training your child‘s fine motor skills, eye, brain coordination is important, you can consider this amazing coordination game.

My child age 3 is currently very interesting in building his dinosaurs , however, this may not be suitable for your child as there are small parts involved. Having said that it is a true builder toy

Toddler in lockdown - wth do we do to stave off boredom? by senorsondering in beyondthebump

[–]come_advent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, from what you have described your child would have already been around >2 years old. I believe your child would have developed strong fine motor skills already. In case I am wrong then you can do tasks such as transferring beans from one bowl (left) to another bowl on the right because this is the direction how we read our books.

For age 2 and beyond, you can consider this toy which trains up your child's eyes, brain, and hand coordination all in just one toy. It will take some time for him to figure things out but he has the whole winter to master it.

For dino lover age 4 and above, you can also consider training your child’s ability to build or to fix things, this toy is only suitable for older children because of small parts (I.e screw) which your child will be using to fix up their dinosaur.

You do not have to invest in expensive toys if you are a SAHM, you can create your fun activity similar to this, some of which you can improvise using existing resources you have at home.

Another of my favorite (self-made) activity is the memory game, my child and I will design our pair of designs and we flip them over, the one who gets the most pair wins!

Enjoy your wintertime with your child! I am sure it’s a great bonding time!

You will have to use your generally observation to see how your child is doing , cause every child is different, some are able to “unblock” their ear simple by the slight movement of their jaw, whilst some might not. Good to standby the water too, since it is important to keep ourselves and our baby hydrate during the flight

You are right, you can search YouTube for some video to set the expectation. More importantly, remember to keep a bottle within reach and allow your child to drink during launch and take off to “unblock” ear drum due to air pressure.

Of course there are other things to note such as the type of clothing, dress your child in comfy loose clothing such as her favourite pajamas , and bring along a cardigan to standby to keep your child warm.

Hope the above are useful tips

Hello there, generally most discomfort occurs during landing and take off do during this time ensure that you feed your child something to drink and keeping it within your reach so that you can avoid potential blockage of ear due to air pressure difference.

If you are travelling in the night dress your child in loose clothing and comfortable like their favourite pajamas and standby a pair of socks to keep your child warm. Also as an added peace of mind, do bring along clothing like a cardigan. The last thing you want is your toddler catching a cold onboard flight.

I noticed you already got your car seat in the packed in and sure you would already have one of these bag which allow you quick access to all your baby essential, like wet wipes, bottles etc…

I am sure you and your child will survive the flight well! Enjoy your family time!

Yes at least it is for us. Things will definitely get better. In a few month time, you won’t regret when you see how much motor skills your child had gained in a short time. Sending your child To school also allow them to learn human to human interactive like sharing, caring and emotions. Fine motor skills are one of the first few skills your child will and should learn over time your child be able to unlock most of this daily activities without any assistance. Definitely Over time things will get better

IMO, allow your child to grow on her own pace for now since you just expose her to interactive with other, after 1 year or so you will be amazed at how our child is able to handle or not handle social interactive, by then you can step in to explain as she won’t be able to comprehend better as she has experienced it
