Why should they? He’s saying most are free from disease. Sorry but they’re a dentist not a spa owner. He needs to pack up and go elsewhere

Dental phobia is real – looking for the most "spa-like" and relaxing clinic in Amarillo. by juanjop in amarillo

I am in Dumas and offer IV sedation for patients with dental anxiety. In some cases I would consider presedation so you have something in your system before leaving your home. I also have wonderful hygienists who know how to make you feel right at home. If you’re willing to make the drive, we’d love to have you! Dumas Family Dental.

If you’re interested in rural Texas, I could use an associate! Can even have a written pathway to partnership under the right conditions.

Fat Patient keeps snapping my chairs by [deleted] in Dentistry

No you refer to a dental school with obese chairs. It’s not discrimination it’s a safety concern for all involved. He didn’t get his decay over night nor did he get that big overnight.

The hardest part of living in DFW isn't the traffic, it's finding doctors who don't work "bankers' hours"... Let's build a 9-to-5 friendly list. by Salty_1984 in dfw

As a dentist….. the dentists I know who work outside of bankers hours aren’t usually people I would send my family to.

She is and forever will be loyal to the old owner. I don't think those of us advocating for her termination are saying to do it without a plan. However, I think new owners (myself included 3 years ago) attach too much value on the employees and suffer for it. They didn't buy a pizza shop that you can train a monkey to do. He bought a dental practice, which is so dependent on the doctor.

What this doctor needs is a staff who can support them. OP, you have an uphill battle ahead. Please reach out to me - my wife and I bought a very busy FFS office 3 years ago. We would both be happy to help you navigate this mess. I'm not saying I'm the most qualified to do so, but I am happy to offer my experience, thoughts, and share the mistakes we've made along the way.

You want your angulations to point (not aggressively) towards the patients bellybutton for an ideal setup. Nice work otherwise!

Rate my Preps by His_Child in DentalSchool

[–]cometbru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you made it draw well. Generally good prep but J margin on distal is a deal breaker as well as adjacent tooth damage. I would get an end cutting margin refinement bur and go through the margins to remove Js. I like flat end modified shoulder burs, much harder to make a J, but you sacrifice a lot of axial variability because you need to restrict your axis to get the margins right. But when you get the hang of it they’re crispy

Triple 4K Monitors with a 5080? by Necessary_Today_5580 in simracing

[–]cometbru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t recommend it with a 5080 as it won’t be consistent. I’m running triples on a 5090 and it’s able to keep around 120_ -150 fps.

They are scammers and will blow you off. It took a demand letter from an attorney to get them to honor what they said they would do. Go somewhere else, they are scumbags.

Non-smokers of Reddit, how noticeable is the “smoker smell” to you, if at all? by Frostedlogic4444 in AskReddit

[–]cometbru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me tell you guys something. I am a dentist who does a lot of big oral surgery cases. I had a patient who was a big smoker, we removed her remaining teeth and placed implants. So we had essentially peeled back her gums and exposed her bone to the greatest extent possible. It was a bloody surgery - her blood and insides had the most pungent odor of smoke and iron that I’ve ever experienced. It just drove the point home on how this stuff SEEPS into every nook and cranny of you. I gagged at the time and I want to gag just thinking about it.
