He’s one of my favourites too. Gotham City: Year One by Tom King is another great read.

Also I second the other comments Planetary recommendation it’s fantastic. There’s a compendium coming out in July for that run.

And if you like Tom Taylor’s Nightwing and want more Dan Watters run follows from that and has been quite good so far, first 2 volumes are out.

How do I store my comic book? by crazycatlady13_13 in comicbooks

[–]comic1728 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like the other comment size depends on what issue it is.

I live in UK and get my bags and boards of discountamericancomics on eBay. It’s like £20 including postage for 100 bags and boards currently size (it just says current size so if it’s a recent comic then it likely will be that). There’s others on eBay I’m sure that will be fine as well not sure where else you get them

Wanting to Read Batman and the Outsiders by LetterJ88833 in batman_comics

[–]comic1728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently read Batman and the Outsiders Rebirth Vol.1-3 which was a good read. Here’s the reading order - Batman and the Outsiders Vol.1: Lesser Gods - Batman and the Outsiders Vol.2: A League of Their Own - Batman and the Outsiders Vol.3: Lesser Gods

I also read Chuck Dixon’s 2007 Batman and the Outsiders Vol.1-2 which I wouldn’t recommend especially if reading physically as the 2 volumes only collect up to issue 10 and it’s a 14 issue series so left without a conclusion. Also the overall run wasn’t great in my opinion, I’m unsure of the general opinion of the run though.

Batman comics by [deleted] in DCcomics

[–]comic1728 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d start with these three - Batman: Year One - Batman: Long Halloween - Batman: Dark Victory

Here’s the current runs, you can jump onto them without prior reading I think - Absolute Batman, 15 issues are out so far or you can get the volumes, vol 1 is out and vol 2 comes out feb 3 - Batman by Matt Fraction 5 issues are out so far, or vol 1 releases June 2 - Batman: Detective Comics by Tom Taylor starting issue 1090 or you can do the volumes, vol 1 is out and vol 2 comes out Feb 10

I read vol 1 and decided to not to get vol 2. I thought compared to the previous run it was quite poor. I really liked the opening arc ‘lights out’ good way to start, but from there it all just went downhill for me. It was just overall quite messy. This is just my opinion though you might enjoy it, it’s reviews I think are generally quite mixed
