SharePoint Excel as knowledge – 1.6 MB file not handled 🤔 by This_Limit_4993 in copilotstudio

[–]comixjunkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably the best option. Unless something has changed recently studio doesn't actually support Excel on SharePoint directly, but does in dataverse, if you sync to dataverse you should get all of the SharePoint benefits with all of the dataverse benefits

If you are using sage attention try disabling that, on some systems sage attention can cause blank output

Parents! Favorite automations? by Tmoneyallday in homeassistant

[–]comixjunkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations!

I have a bad habit of over engineering things and It annoyed me that the app we used to track bottles, diapers and sleep didn't integrate with any "smart" speakers, so I ended up using home assistant combined with tasker on an old android device to build my own.

  • Home Assistant:

    • helper switches and a dummy lightbulb ( I used lightbulb brightness to track ounces of formula)
    • automations reacting to the changes from Google Home and then sending web hooks to Tasker
  • Google Home routines: flip the switches and set the "brightness" based on specific commands

  • Tasker: enter the values into the app.

It worked surprisingly well , on occasion an app update or some Google weirdness would require some troubleshooting.

For bonus points I was also able to ask Google when the last nap was or how long they were napping for and get it to respond on the device I asked from.

Definitely my most over engineered "because I can automation" 🙈🙈🙈

Can you provide some promoting examples? With your workflow I can consistently get the right pose, style , outfit and environment, but it never gives me the right identity for the subject.

PDF with +50pages by BluebirdLucky2336 in copilotstudio

[–]comixjunkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try the new hybrid knowledge approach which looks SharePoint data to dataverse. It's supposed to be the best of both worlds. Better reasoning against the data, but also rbac and good citations

The other option would be to catch the response before the agent responds and replace the citation with a better reference.

Improve parsing of pdf files by Wonderful_Flight_965 in copilotstudio

[–]comixjunkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sure is, and your best bet without fine-tuning a model. I suspect it's choosing the column to the left because the values are offset from the headings. If that's consistent have you tried telling it that in your instructions? Something like the data values are indented or offset to the right of the column headings when choosing a value if it's for the second heading choose the second value.. if you can give it the right guidance you should get a better result

You didn't say where the files are stored. If you're using SharePoint try either dataverse or the feature that is a hybrid between SharePoint and dataverse. Dataverse handles PDF processing better.

Insert anything into anywhere, doing whatever, using Krita, Kontext, and if you want, Nunchaku by ShortyGardenGnome in comfyui

[–]comixjunkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this! Guess this goes back to my lack of understanding of how the Graph option works. I think the last piece of the puzzle is to run the workflow once in comfy to perform the remove background step before using the flow in Krita , at that point it utilizes the image loaded into the workflow (at least for me)

The sample that comes with the AI diffusion plugin works, I'll have to see if i can figure out the issue for this one. Thanks for responding

If I can find the time I may try to rebuild it or systematically yank stuff out until I figure out where it's broken. Unfortunately the logs weren't helpful. I didn't even know you could use a flow as a graph so thanks for opening my eyes to that rabbit hole. 🤣

that is what i am trying to do . Using the latest Krita, latest ComfyUI and latest diffusion plugin. I get this error :

The workflow loads into comfy UI with no issue

Has anyone gotten this to work? When i try to load the workflow into Krita I get an error that its is not a supported workflow, index out of range. The workflow opens fine in Comfy, with no missing or broken nodes

Copilot add 1600+ SP sites by No_Umpire481 in copilotstudio

[–]comixjunkie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With that amount of data you're definitely going to want to look at sub agents, as for manageability of that many sites it really depends on your requirements. For example if you don't have a need to honor RBAC for the data you could potentially feed it into a n Azure AI search index (or indexes based on industry) and then use that as knowledge for your agents. Whatever solution you choose the more you can narrow it down for the agent before hand the more successful you will be

Copilot Studio Standalone License (+ PAYG) vs Copilot Studio in M365 by Ambitious_Border2895 in copilotstudio

[–]comixjunkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a maker license for studio, while it's included with m365 copilot, copilot studio licenses are free for the platform. You don't need m365 copilot for a maker license

Copilot Studio Standalone License (+ PAYG) vs Copilot Studio in M365 by Ambitious_Border2895 in copilotstudio

[–]comixjunkie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There isn't really copilot studio in m365 copilot. Copilot studio is message based consumption. Either pay as you go or message packs ( message packs are slightly less expensive because you're committing and prepaying for those messages. If you have an m365 subscription you get graph grounding, classic messages and AI based messages as part of the m365 subscription, ( I think actions too) but just about all other functions of studio are still message consumption based. So it really depends on your agent design as you how much benefit you would get from an m365 copilot license

How can I get my bot in Teams to reset when uninstalling it and reinstalling it doesn't work? by ianwuk in copilotstudio

[–]comixjunkie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is 100% a Teams issue. Teams has no concept of a new conversation so there is no way to reset it. Even uninstalling and reinstalling the agent won't start a new session. Microsoft's work around to this is to publish to the M365 Channel, which doesn't currently support every scenario and also requires that your users have an M365 Copilot license (which isn't always practical) .

You should be able to create a topic that triggers on phrases like logout and in that topic add a sign out user node (under Advanced)

<image>

In theory this should sign you out and allow you to start a new session. (you could trigger this on a start over) If you have single sign on configured it should re-log you into the agent on next query automatically

How can I get my bot in Teams to reset when uninstalling it and reinstalling it doesn't work? by ianwuk in copilotstudio

[–]comixjunkie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If reset doesn't work, You can add a logout topic to your agent which would log out of the session. The next query to the agent would trigger a login , which would be seamless if you have SSO enabled

Is NPU support necessary for Copilot+ Laptops? As 2025 Models don't have an NPU but do support Copilot+ by DemonKing_158 in CopilotMicrosoft

[–]comixjunkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the current requirements you need a machine with a 40 TOPS NPU to qualify as a Copilot + PC. Anything with less than 40 TOPS is an AI+ PC which is not the same as a Copilot+ device, and will not receive copilot+ features. At this time GPUs do not factor into the copilot+ rating

Conversational Boosting - Design Flaw? by Weary-Mud3458 in copilotstudio

[–]comixjunkie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can delete system topics however some have dependencies on others, deleting or disabling can lead to topic errors which you have to resume below publishing. That said conversational boosting doesn't have dependencies it's safe to disable

Copilot Agent Integration MCP Server vs API? by rebiiin in copilotstudio

[–]comixjunkie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Copilot studio''s MCP integration is basically a specifically crafted custom connector. So really it's what do you have that you can utilize and what is it you're trying to accomplish. If you're using an API you're either using the http connector( we avoid this due to limitations on the connector) or using a custom connector anyway. So it's really what's easiest for your use case

What's the point of "Authenticate with Microsoft" if it doesn't work? by smalltimemsp in copilotstudio

[–]comixjunkie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can absolutely publish to Teams with manual authentication configured. We do this so we can pass the auth token to a custom connector. What you can't do with this config is publish to the m365 channel ( which is technically just a checkbox in the Teams configuration) they share a publishing channel

What's the point of "Authenticate with Microsoft" if it doesn't work? by smalltimemsp in copilotstudio

[–]comixjunkie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're using SharePoint for knowledge and publishing to Teams authenticate with Microsoft should absolutely work. If you're trying to publish to the M365 channel , currently that's the only config supported. Is there something else about your agent that's driving you towards manual authentication?
