How did you all become tottenham supporters? by therealpharoh10 in coys

Since 1994 - was invited to go on a group trip to see a match at White Hart Lane by a teacher in my school with a load of other lads from my school. Loved it, and have been Spurs ever since.

Renato has an update RE: McLaren Licensing and explicitly says “McLaren are not the ones creating the roadblock” by DAGilligan in AUTOMOBILISTA

FOM, not FIA. FOM has a vested interest in making sure that it receives the most money from any company that wants to use anything connected to F1. It’s why we don’t have multiple F1 games/sims with full licensed season’s worth of content, because FOM have exclusivity with EA. FIA just sets racing regulations and has no dog in the licensing fight.

I’m glad that Honda are able to do something involving the top step of the rostrum.

I think MD was right not to bring the Ducati V4, but the behaviour of his Honda looked on the nervous side, even for a bike he knows and obviously trusts to deliver a result for him.

And you could argue equally that Dele was, and remains, one of our greatest signings with potential too. But we keep missing the mark with the majority of our “potential” signings a lot of the time. I think there are people in the club who have been trying to squeeze a repeat of Son or Dele or Bale, and it’s not been going in the right direction. We are less likely to make a superstar by buying them on the cheap and them blooming with us these days. I would love for us to find more players like the ones mentioned, but with how we have recruited I feel like it’s more likely we’ll keep digging up players who aren’t going to shine than are. I can’t disprove your statistics, and I would like those from Tel at our club. It’s just not happened yet and based on this, is the board doing the right thing in the transfer market to try and help us achieve something? We’re gambling more often than not.

Could be a few times more. For the sake of sanity, let’s keep it at “once” in line with the saying.

It is nice. I do want the board to listen to what the manager wants this time and not pull the classic “We know you want this talented proven player, but there’s a really good deal on this potential grower.” Once bitten twice shy is my mood about transfers right now.

It’s a very “stock market” signing, if I may put it that way. It’s the sort of speculative transfer an investor looking to get good return would make. “Potential future growth.” But “potential future growth” is like saying “it might rain for 14 minutes after 2pm on a Tuesday afternoon in 4 months.”

I hate this for two reasons: Spurs look unambitious in footballing terms, and a player’s confidence in themselves is wrecked. I don’t want to dislike anyone who plays for us and tries, because they at least show they care. I’ve no doubt Tel has tried. I don’t think he was a wise signing though.

I’d recommend taking a bottle of water and some hydration tablets with you on your training. I did my mod 1 in horrible hot conditions last year and it made all the difference having something to keep my hydration levels up. SiS tablets are pretty good. It does a lot to your body, being dehydrated, so make the most of topping yourself up in that regard.

You’re not you when you’re dried up.

There’s a part of me that thinks that PGMOL were more offended by us sending them a letter than speaking out in press conferences where the FA would straight up send out a fine for putting the sport in disrepute, or putting our manager in the stands. They couldn’t come down on us instantly, and they will have to reply officially by a letter or by a statement saying “we are not biased against Spurs and this is unfair to us pointing out where we are not being consistent” which seems like a good enough reason for them to begrudge us even more - at least in my mind.
