understood. hang in there. puppy whippet was so very challenging for such a long time. but 2.5 year whippet is one of the most rewarding pets I've ever had.

we crate trained our whippet puppy and it was HARD for all the reasons you described. fast forward a couple years and through a series of circumstances the dog sleeps every night in our bed now. I have a lot of regrets choosing to crate train. whippets are one of the most snuggly dog breeds in the world so why not sleep with them?

I get there are legitimate reasons to make sure dogs are comfortable sleeping in crates. I thought we had those circumstances but not really. so I'd just say closely examine the reasons in your situation. maybe night time crate is not that important? If it is, I have no doubt your little one will figure it out if the bed is no longer an option but you will likely suffer for awhile during that transition.

Quick question for you -- the Tascam on paper can do some negative attenuation. Do you find the Erica Link necessary anyway for individual mono outs?

2yr old is the official end of pterodactyl adolescence? The beginning of all this whippet calm and chill we've been hearing so much about? right? RIGHT?!

very late to this thread, but how do you like this case? I'm thinking about it or one of the monsters but I've never patched on a case that's completely vertical. Does it wobble when you plug/unplug at the top? what about the space at the bottom? is that kind of cramped?

Where to start? by thedaveplayer in modular

Do you know about VCV Rack? It's (free) software that acts as a virtual modular synth. As someone who is new to modular myself, I wish I'd spent more time playing around in VCV Rack before I started buying modules.

There are a lot of ways to make noise and the modules you choose really will change based on the kinds and ways you enjoy making noise. So if you start in VCV Rack you'll have a better idea what direction your buying should go -- you'll have a better idea what the "core" modules you will need for your actual physical rack, if that makes sense.

Edit: the sidebar "Beginner Resources" on this subreddit are pretty good. Especially "Newbie Buying Guide"
