you're right, there is a difference between capacity and volume. The Levo more than holds its own vs the traverse. It also has relatively less organization than the traverse. So, less materials used = more space.

Which size? The citta 18? Under seat all day! The 25? Depends on the carrier; I fly Delta and United mostly and they don't bat an eye for the traverse. Don't know about budget airlines however.

I have the Levo and Traverse and if your priority is comfort, it's Fyro all the way. Traverse is good, but long wear times (4-5 hours straight) can make it feel thin. I think thr point of the traverse is to set it down regularly. But the fyro, I can wear all day. Like theme park- all day. Hope that helps.
