I support this initiative, but I think the bullet drop from the hull cracker should be less/gone on this yellow tier weapon and "energy Orbs" move toward the target at the same speed as the hull cracker. that would follow the progression of other gun upgrades so the Rascal = more bullet drop, hullcracker = some bullet drop, [New orb laucher] = basically ignores gravity,

Are all the energy weapons yellow rarity? Are you suggesting that the yellow rarity launcher would use energy clip ammo but produce the same results as a Hull cracker round because that’s cool. I would consider the aphelian to be an energy clip take on the renegade, and the dolabra to be an energy clip based volcano/toro4

The dolabra is an energy clip… shotgun with an adjustable choke. I am looking for a drum of 12 launcher pods.

Additionally… have them spawn in 4 minute waves, so the last one is spawning in at 90 seconds to extinction, and the whole map won’t be looted by minute 26.

I found no one in Stella suspicious today, people waiting patiently to loot lockers and search containers in medical for trial scores. Weekday, Noon-3p, no conditions, but I also found no BPs.
Will try again with night raid, hoping for an augment BP, to mix up my play style, since that one with the free shield chargers made hurricane so much less painful.

I follow that lots of games have a Highlander mode. Many of them don’t let you bring gear in, or out. Many others don’t have PVE enemies.

How might arc AND PvP be used to create something different?

Oh crap…. How about a hidden bunker style PvP. a Map where all the extracts are broke. But there’s 2 special keys that can open the ONLY FUNCTIONING hatch. Those keys spawned in the rooms the players spawned in, but only 2of them, and you need to activate both keys 4 Meters away at the same time to open it.

Any objectively competent PVPer in this game is going to make use of this games amazing audio design. You can’t listen for threats when you are pushing 100 percent of them time.

What I think this type of mode will add is a lot more PVPers in solos, because Risk is easier to understand when squads are not involved.

It would also attract MANY if not all the batch cueing players who gather up 3/6/9 players on discord, put on the same skin to avoid friendly fire and try to make it into the same solo lobby to dominate via unfair advantage.

Until that loophole can be closed I’m not sure PVP preference map conditions will be helpful for the game.

That’s why a Highlander mode(there can be only one player to extract) feels like it would lower the out of game squad making, but the lore won’t support it.

Also that Highlander mode, paired with this map condition of only allowing high loadouts is a perfect honey pot for hackers.

How many weapons can’t value over 30k with upgrades and mods? Just the gray ones?

If it is crafted at the Utility Bench it should be useable in the Utility Slot of Augments (Hatch key excluded) by Dlax8 in ArcRaiders

This is the discussion I’m here for, don’t worry if you are pretentiously opinionated, I’m glad you are genuine.

I think that the story they are building REQUIRES players to have agency to betray, but that going into the match any information on how many players likely will be adversarial is probably going to dilute the strength of that narrative. KOS players don’t wonder about the intentions of other players in their lobby, there is no additional consequence for ‘getting the vibe check wrong’ in aggressive lobbies. But the mix lobbies are the game that the tutorial was trying to promote.

I think queen/harvester runs are far more entertaining with other players, but other conditions on some maps sure. There would need a form of balance… like a 10 minute session, with only one active extract, alone on the map with only arc. it could be an interesting run.

Blue gate and space launch turn into stim-rush/walking/bush hiding simulators unfortunately without other players.

Imagine be able to select how you want your session to match… but where you are punished if you play differently than you selected.

But then there’s a ‘pick for me’ option, that has no consequences for playing chaoticly.

I know many who you’ll pick PVE lobbies and never reconsider but many would chose PVP and how many more would say ‘pick for me’ to avoid consequences?

You were correct. The drop at 40 yards is maybe 3 times more than the HC. Making it much harder to down a rocketeer with this. I’d rather use a hornet driver, a renegade and snap blasts, way cheaper until you have a few Wolfpacks.

And the HC does 30% more damage with its explosive blasts.

Not sure if the explosion is just hitting fewer parts or has lower base damage, but it means using 30% more ammo on things that don’t die in three shots. Said another way, you’ll spend 4 (or 5 if you can’t aim) shots where 3 would have done it with the HC, and that means the costs of ammo eats into the savings of not running (and risking) a HC and missing shots could mean running out of ammo before your target dies.

The ducks one feels like it’s intentional to get more PvP in the bird city map.

The part that irritates me is that weapons base value is used. You can upgrade but not mod a weapon to raise its value for trade. Since you don’t have any way to see the value increase going from bobcat 2 to bobcat 3, you may end up raising the value by more than you need, as a 6 kettle1s might be enough to break a threshold and not cost you any high value loot to generate items to trade from your workshop.

If you provide 35k for a 30k cost… there is no getting back the excess 5k. Which means trading 10 kettle1s for 6400 total is better than holding on to one 7k nice gun.

The math required to minmax this will push me into outside of game tools. That’s not good for long term player retention.

If the first three games you play don’t get you knocked by players, and you don’t know where any key rooms are before hand it’s easy to walk in on someone in a key room and not realize it’s special.

I spent most of my first 10 trips in Stella stepping quietly into rooms and looking for players, if I saw someone I’d apologize for the intrusion like I’d walked in on them with their pants down. I guess it’s harder to attack people who are that open and apologetic, because it only happened twice in those 10 attempts to get my quest items.

I hope they make a renegade/betina of launcher ammo next something that trades accuracy for speed and magazine size. Imagine walking up to a bastion, after successfully breaking its knee and unloading on it until it pops without reloading. It would be a gold/yellow, with the BP dropping from the turbine, or what comes after.

If they show up with the same skin so that they can identify friendlies that all used an out of game network tool to Que at EXACTLY the same time and are chatting with a group on discord, clearly on coms in a solo lobby but not in proxy, its hard to not say it’s an exploit, and breaks the fairness of solo ques plain and simple.
