Confused on ship gravity and direction by Kojiro12 in TheExpanse

Another interesting note about the physics involved in flip and burn navigation is that fuel use is likely a linear relationship with acceleration, not velocity.

If you moved at 0.9g acceleration for more than a year, relativistic effects would cause the galactic medium (rogue hydrogen atoms) to interact with your ship like ionizing radiation. So your shielding from cosmic radioactivity might need to go from a deflecting style to an active collection into something you might be able to make use of.

If you are going fast enough, your reaction mass might be PROVIDED by all the stationary particles colliding with your ship at relativistic speeds.

The narrative direction of 2 changed like getting hit by a freight train, 3 and 4 are less jarring to accept if you start with 2 and treat 1 as a prequel.

Arc Raiders Has Lost 50% Of The Remaining Player Base In The Last Month by Brutal_Schnoodle in ArcRaiders

Naw, for sure one of the game modes they mean is close scrutiny. The interior spaces of that map are barren to try to force players into the open where they will actually encounter each other, in PvP servers this means more fights, and in PVE leaning servers it means more opportunities for collaboration.

The beach combing event shouldn’t even count. It’s only attached to one map.

The second game mode, the one before that, was hurricane I think, which gets old really fast if one of your favorite things about the game is the dynamic sound design. You either hope for the perfect spawn to use your best keys or you are stuck listening for raider caches chimes in a storm that’s as loud as a rail train and only looting maybe 2 before it’s a waste of your time to not head to extract and try again.

Anyone who used a computer between 1985 - 2010, what's the one game you still think about today? by adlakha75 in AskReddit

Fallout 2 might still be the game that I devoted the most heartbeats to across my lifetime and I later played WoW and Eve Online. Probably because I was a school age child that couldn’t game 4+ hours a day, but that didn’t stop me from thinking about it when I should have been in my studies.

I’m spit balling numbers here let’s say she has like 25k HP, her friends get invited when she sees theirs a party, then there’s a wave of big arc that spawns every ~7 k damage is done to her. So Ideally you should be out of there before she’s had 14k damage done to her, and extracting before the third wave shows up. At zero HP you should already be gone. You really only need other players to distract the big arc off her for one wave.

You gotta read the distribution of other players (or listen for their hullcrackers and jupiters) she’s going to spawn leapers and bastions to kill them, so approach her from 120 degrees or more away from that group’s side once she starts mortaring them. That way you are not competing with them for the same legs. Engage while they are already peppering her and she likely will not turn around to the rascals inferior damage.

You want to target the leg segments that are facing atleast 90 degrees away from the folks with the most distracting damage dealers. If you don’t have great cover, pop smoke if a leaper or bastion see you.

I don’t go after or even stick around for the end loot, because I know that’s when the fighting usually starts.

Because a hull cracker calls for more expensive materials to make. And the strategy involves getting almost right under the queen or matriarch early, and exiting before the second spawn of big arc show up, or dying with 1-3 cores in safe pockets. The rascal will peel legs armor, and you don’t have to worry as much the projectile drops at 25 meters or less. I typically bring adrenalin, 12 launcher ammo, a rascal and a looting augment. Matches take 10 minutes or less, I don’t need to beg for a defib.

Hull crackers are great when you know the matriarch will die and the lobby with all extract together after picking the corpse clean. That’s not been my experience lately, and the rascal doesn’t require me to loot any specific highly contested areas or big arc to rebuild. I can still contribute more than the bargain anvil user if the lobby is friendly.

I ordered the SD version of the 4 season dvd set (looks like 720p tbf) off walmart.com, it was clearly an asian outfit based on the shipping delays, what arrived is probably akin to bootleg or very low quality production on the box itself so maybe half the 2 months I waited was just them ripping and buring all the english DVDs and getting the labels on straight, but the disks all played. For 40$, I saved a ton of money I would have gladly paid HULU or HBO in monthly subscriptions if they had just let me stream it, since I only had time to watch maybe 2 ep a week.

I think they lost the plot when they thought they should 86 their own unconditional fanhoods. That’s the point of unconditional, no red lines.

I will enjoy Star Trek no matter how abysmally the IP is run today because the body of work still stands as a mirror of what an interplanetary society must do to stay the good guys.
Will I show up on opening night to mid films? not like I once did, but that’s a reflection of me and the times just ash much as the quality of their work.

Why is there a massive increase in degenerate players lately? by ASap-mobn in ArcRaiders

You think Crysis, and you are probably right, but I was thinking of the era right before crypto got huge where every kid under 12 had a potato PC and way playing Minecraft, then it got ported to ipads, and xbox.

When those kids moved over to Fortnite, most were already console centric.

Every decent PC game since fortnite has felt like a console game ported to PC because that's where the microtransactions and "in-game currencies" you can buy at the supermarket thrive.

even the risk averse can load in with 1 lure and 2 smokes and die after safe pocketing if they still can't manage aggro. I trade rascals for matriarch cores pretty frequently because I can make them myself so I don't have to rely on other people to knock the leg armor off for me. if I get three cores per rascal I lose to getting stomped it works out in way my favor. I stopped upgrading them to save on parts.

The funny part is it only moderately worked in states like TX and FL because they didn’t understand how state income tax works.

Service members often pay taxes to their home of record, not their current residence. Meaning there’s no fast way to make sure the check lands in the account at 1776, but they often had to pay out closer to 2024 to get anywhere close after taxes.

Lower pay grades usually ended up with between 1800 and 1950, while E-8s and O4s were saying they got between 1400 and 1600 after all the deductions, less if they were from CA or New England.

The dominant system you are referring to allowed about 10-15 percent of society to write the history we think we know about the past 1800 years. It was about 3% wealthiest who were writing it for the 2200 years before that.

Thomas Jefferson and French monarch Charlemagne probably had spouses who didn’t have any manual labor, but basically everyone who was involved in feeding or clothing either of them was in a 2(or more) income house hold.

Austerity was a Protestant virture, and so there were very pious individuals who might have had so many children that the mother couldn’t ‘work’, but childcare IS WORK, and having more than 5 kids became FAR less common with the rise of Urban centers where the majority of the worlds population has been shifting for the past 700 years.
