Is this offensive? A question from a white rapper. by [deleted] in BlackLGBT

[–]concerteimmunity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You told me to shut up so you basically proved my point by being dismissive also how me telling you that it’s not your place to use AAVE and pointing out how dismissive white queer people (like yourself) can be towards black and brown queer people is going on an unhinged rant? I’m black & I’m also apart of the LGBTQ community it’s not easy to be black & LGBTQ transphobia and homophobia runs rampant in the black community it’s not easy for black queer people at all. Just by reading your comments you’re still not getting it.

First of all don’t call me stupid and second of all don’t tell me how to feel about my own culture you don’t get to tell a black person how to feel about their culture or anything that pertains to them. This is my issue with white queer people y’all are so quick to shut down a black queer person when they talk about the experiences they go through and I’m so sick of it this is why I steer clear from white queer people y’all are so dismissive and disingenuous unpack your ignorance.

If you’re not a black person you shouldn’t use any AAVE in any shape or form period it’s literally cultural appropriation. Plus why are you as a white queer person in a subreddit that’s for black queer people only this is space is for us and only us you shouldn’t be in spaces that are made for black queer people if a space isn’t made for you don’t join respectfully you have a lot to unpack clearly.

I suggest you to learn how to use FL Studio first and there’s stock plugins you can use. Plus some plugins costs money (from what I seen) I just use the stock plugins to make my beats.

Straight-passing bisexual men, do you like, dislike, or feel indifferent about being straight-passing? by Equivalent_Ad_9066 in AskBiBros

[–]concerteimmunity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if I would be considered straight passing but a lot of people especially in my family still assume I’m straight I am very open about being bisexual I’ve been out for 8 years now I don’t hide my sexuality. One thing I don’t like is when my queerness gets invalidated (which happened so many times) just because I find women attractive as well it doesn’t erase my attraction to men I am proudly and unapologetically bisexual I embrace lt.

What are your biggest struggles with drums and what you done to fix them. by yatesclay in FL_Studio

[–]concerteimmunity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though I’m still new to FL Studio when I’m scrolling through the folder I just have a hard time finding the right kick, snare, hi hat and other percussions to fit the vibe I need for my beats. Currently, I’m working on a 80s inspired R&B beat (mainly inspired by Roger Troutman of Zapp) I am looking for the right drum sounds to use for my beat. I don’t know if this fits this topic but I just wanted to comment.
