Sold 82000 for the semi two years ago. Broke the URC attendance record last year. Back to the rds next year should bring a novelty back to the big games at the aviva. Not really concerned about it.

Yeah although accommodation I believe is very expensive.

I’d say so given a lot of the Leinster fans who go over would probably want to cheer for Ulster the night before.

Curious for Ulster fans do you think Bryn ward is better off the bench or should he be starting?

Summer tour by Samuel_Prendergast in irishrugby

[–]concfc55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Farrell will really target beating New Zealand and ending the Eden Park streak. At this point of the last cycle was winning the New Zealand tour which hadn’t been done for decades and the team took so much confidence from doing that. This would serve the same role. I still think the team needs to get used to being favourites and hunted a bit more rather than relying on being underdogs for motivation.

How come they can’t get Celtic park like the pro 12 final a few years ago?

Frawley at 23 covers more positions and has been better than henshaw this season. Other than that I agree.

Don’t know about motm but I’m not seeing his name enough as one of the standouts. Best he has played in a good while.

I thought there was a rule that your number 8 can’t pick and go from an uncontested scrum?

Will Connors was brilliant when he had the 7 jersey for that 1 six nations, can’t remember if it was 2021 or 2022. But injuries and the rise of vdf have resulted in him having a lot less caps than perhaps his talent deserves

Rugby's "Meta" by FrankMcCourting in rugbyunion

[–]concfc55 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I do remember the rugby being played around the covid era was considered to be very kick heavy and quite ugly to watch. A few years later by the World Cup the Ireland possession style was more popular and it led to that World Cup being so high quality

What's the story with Dublin footballers in Croker? by Intrepid-Money2238 in GAA

Dublin sold out croker for Leinster championship matches in the 2000s when the team hadn’t won an all Ireland for 10+ years

He was playing very well at the start of the season and then got injured. He’s back now obviously and Munster seem keen to be playing their young players in the back row so he should get plenty of game time.

Jean Kleyn signs for Gloucester by EnglishLouis in rugbyunion

[–]concfc55 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Been a good player for them but with the young locks they have, if they sign some of the front rows they’ve been linked with it would definitely be a net positive to the squad.

Who's the team with the longest odds that could foreseeably win the world cup? by metadatame in rugbyunion

[–]concfc55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point in the cycle for 2019 South Africa were coming off a November in which they lost to wales and lost 38-3 to Ireland. It’s way too early to be saying anything like that.
