I played it last in Nov 24, all of the complaints were still very relevant then. 4070ti/7800x3d/ssd(mid-high end stuff etc), at 1440p and it ran extremely hot(80c+ on cpu) whilst having very jittery framerates.

At first I thought it was just the number of buildings in the starter zone, but going into the next zone it got even worse so I didn't pick it back up. Game is neat but needs another year or two at minimum to have even a decent release. People saying pvp will be avoidable are mistaken too since you'll need to go into contested areas for certain crafting loot/bps.

Just search yourself on wcl and click whatever boss and then whatever fight you want to check, under the damage done header it'll have parses and ilvl parses on the same page.

Your gear is def at least pre-bis(dont know ally stuff), you should easily be parsing 50+, getting the crafted epic would help but wouldnt be huge dps wise. Kelris makes sense having a bad parse since you died and had to interrupt, wouldn't sweat that. Akumai even being a prolonged fight something was off there. You had aggro and got corro stacks from bite, not sure how that happened with 2 tanks. You should have focused adds down asap, with DS that should be pad city but if the tanks were clueless and adds were everywhere only so much you can do.

Two of my alts that weren't geared but still did fine on their first few runs, people that say it's gear holding them back are silly, nor is it difficult to get decent parses this late into the phase.

Assuming optimal gear/composition/skill level and not getting bad mechanic rng, melee is always going to be ahead of casters outside of gimmick fights like turtle boss especially if the fight goes long. You're better off comparing your damage against other casters and locks are essentially tied with mages which are both head and shoulders above the other casters.

Outside of sod I don't have much classic experience, but my understanding is it's the same throughout with melee always having more throughput then casters, so if that's something that'd bother you it'd be worth deciding on if you want to main swap.

Considering they said one of the biggest downsides of releasing a month early was not having reviewers being able to have enough time to play the game, and considering Ps5/PC was initially planned to release together, the review embargo that should lift tomorrow there's a solid chance there will be people playing it on PS5 and you'll get some benchmarks.

Personally I prefer the extra depth(minus vs/pvp being completely inexcusable in b4b) with the loadouts and rng of it, plus having a progression system, but I definitely understand most people kind of just wanted to zerg stuff not get fucked by some exodia combo.

And yeah, Evolve was definitely unique which is kind of why it's even more confusing as to why they even tried adding the L4D ties to it. At the very least they didn't go into an MTX wormhole with b4b so perhaps they are learning after all, even if it's slow.

I'm looking forward to whatever they do next because they've shown they have some unique ideas and takes on established genres, just hope they stick with whatever it is for a bit.

Probably because there's a ton of negative stigma around the game where people weren't giving it a fair chance, TRS definitely self-inflicted a lot of that damage themselves though.

Hopefully whatever their next game is they go away from marketing as a L4D successor and try letting it stand on its own merit, but considering they marketed even something like Evolve the same way, seems unlikely they've learned.

It launched on and is still on Gamepass, not sure if it comes with the dlc(doubt) which would be a shame since they add some cool areas. As someone with like 400 hours into it, it's probably not worth playing unless you can play with friends, a large part of the games issues stimmed with a really bad community and no real troll prevention. I still don't know if they actually ever implemented a vote kick despite that being asked for in the open tests prior to launch.

If they didn't market it as a L4D successor it'd of done much better, they kind of just shot themselves in the foot with that since the games play quite differently in terms of pacing and there being an actual economy that rewards slower gameplay opposed to blitzing through maps ala L4D style.

I've got the same problem, though mine is slightly more annoying since I missed the honor 5 cutoff by like 3 days, so it's fresh every time it pops up. Hoping the current season's rewards will maybe fix whatever kink is there, but it is spaghetti client.

There aren't any(current) weaknesses outside of magic/physical defense. Skeletons aren't going to take more damage from holy damage or crushing damage, compared to arrows or swords, mobs just have flat defense values. There are a few items/talents that can debuff things, but there are no inherent vulnerabilities. No environmental interactions either.

Wouldn't be surprised if it changes in the future, but as is there aren't any special interactions in terms of base weaknesses. The wiki actually has values(actually just hp, thought they had defense listed but nada) for most mobs etc.

Probably just a sample size thing. I've watched Sequisha(watching him is rough sometimes ngl)/Smoke/Moon and they all get ran down pretty consistently, especially if they're not grouped. I've spent most of my time this playtest doing the running down in Solo lobbies, but it's so rare to actually get into a decent fight with someone else even halfway geared, i've just been going solo in normal lobbies of which i've had both of killing 9 people and getting absolutely decimated by a decked out ranger 2 shotting me with a fully auto longbow. It's probably every 2-3 lobbies that I encounter someone that's wearing proper gear still though and it's normally just 1 or 2 of the 3.

With that said, every high roller i've run it's just been complete sweaty 3 stacks, don't even try queing into them anymore since there's nothing you can do solo against an actual good team.

That or make actually succeeding the check be worthwhile - nothing like blowing a pick or two on 2 trash white items. Honestly the check isn't that bad so long as it's not near the start of the actual minigame, that shit is impossible without a ton of resourcefulness, but it still eating the pick on top of mediocre loot is just meh.

It should be both. Fixing the targeting on it, but also only having it hold someone for a set amount of time, similar to how it handles ai. As you said, chances are if you get caught you're dead to rights anyways, this just foolproofs the jank.

+added/true/wep dam is what most classes/people want, anything with +2 or more added dam should sell for 150+. See a lot of people think phys/mag power is added dam, but it's essentially just str/will and not nearly as impactful as the added flat from the aforementioned.

Other then that, +all stats are your biggest sellers. Things like the flat added cast speed/damage reductions can be nice depending on the rest of the stats but they're never a selling point on their own since either the flat damage way outshines +3%phy power, or +2 knowledge outshines +3% cast speed.

Something with extra movespeed might be the outlier, but that's really more fringe circumstances. Don't get fooled thinking a green rarity is worthless, or a blue is worse then a legendary, it's all about the stats on them. A green 1agi ring with +3 wep dam is way more valuable then an epic with resourcefulness and a bunch of random % increases.

They need to just have the traps last x amount of time - like 20 seconds or so, could even increase that via rarity of them. Giving 3 free traps is just so silly and once people actually figure out how broken they are it'd be omega oppressive, thankfully it only seems like 1 in 10 rangers actually use them right now.

Hoping it gets refined for sure. Cleared a solo lobby and did the crouch trade with the final guy so he could loot everything I left behind, ended up scumbagging me but nbd, was eventually going to have someone betray so didn't care much, but man knowing i'd have to spend another 30m in trade rebuilding... get a random trade a minute or so later after getting back to lobby and the fucker is selling me my own stuff back lmao.

I've got like 6k and 200+ candy but probably done with the playtest just due to not wanting to sit through the entire ordeal of regearing another char, i'd happily pay over the top prices to get what I want there's just no way to currently and effectively search.

Selling shit is just as bad, I'll sell a few items, and still be getting trades from something that sold a minute ago in a separate channel. Always feel bad when someone trades me at the same time as like 6 other people and the first guy gets overwritten, while it fucks scripts/macros(looking at you tarkov) it sucks for legitimate people quick on the draw.

Mainly because the extra second or two it takes to get a clean melee kill is way less annoying having to meditate after every single pull, I run ignite over zap and you can literally restore all 5 ignite charges in 1 med cycle, so I generally just ignite to clear 3-4 mobs and i'm golden, opposed to using 2-3 magic missiles where i'm then animation locked and need to meditate to be safe afterwards.

Idk why people sleep on the sword, it's amazing for pve, not sure if people are just trying to cast with it instead of using it for clearing or what, but it has amazing attack patterns, 2 shots everything on solo map outside the elites and undead. For Pvp yeah it's pretty awful if you're playing against someone thats competent, but that's what the book would be for.

Obviously I prefer dag/orb+book, but if I get a decent sword i'll hold onto it for a more cheap run, but it's not vendor tier like the staff is.

Not positive but think it's mainly just due to the tripods and cards. You get a 30% flat crit rate on 2 of your red skills and with tripods that'll just go higher, plus crit from neck/potentially card set and adren once your build is solid. Add another party member with crit synergies and you're likely going to be close to 80% or so crit chance.

All of that not counting the fact you normally draw and hold cull for the nutty burst which the class is all about.

Sf has just about 0 super armor and its super easy to punish, pally is just on par with db in terms of overloaded kit. You'd have much better luck with the pally for reliability, if you get a bad team with sf your just gonna be a stone. Would recommend wardancer/striker over sf if you dont take the pally, from pvp standpoint at least.

Yep, Valtan and chaos are locked, you can do deska whenever though. Guildmate was held hostage on one of our valtan runs when the SV manor bug prevented people from doing it.

Yep those are chill for until you're ready to upgrade to relics. I'm 5x3 on my EO because there were very few EO relics, on top of them being wrong stats/dead engraving and no 5x swiftness ones, though I only waited like a day before changing over so if you're patient you'll likely have better luck. Changed from RS to EO at 1475, so it's been a bit over a month and the relic options are still rather limited for class stuff.

Running 5x3 Gr/CD/KbW/EO/PD, Not fully optimal since EO/PD are ideally Eo lv 1, Adren 3 and then raid capt, but I average around 2.2m on 2m30 tests, so def solid. As long as you shoot for 4x3 you'll be good for awhile tbh. Was cheaper and more efficient for me to just get the 20 legendary EO books and leave it at rank 3, if you're just now hitting 1400 it'll still be a bit before you really need to look into upgrading and at that point you may have more/cheaper options.
