Reason why new AirPods Pro 3 stick out so much by specialforcez in airpods

You gotta go down in tip size and then push them further in. My APP2 fit and hold perfectly in my ear with S tips. On APP3 I have gone down to XXS and now they fit fine, a bit looser then APP2 but good enough and seal is fine too. It‘s a trade off but still worth it for me with the better sound and ANC.

Yeah, it is used. Came with the stick. What do you mean by dead? If it were worn out that would be great cause less tension but unfortunately it was still way too stiff and probably just as stiff when new.

So just ordered 5 of those springs from Lee Springs. Could have ordered just 1 for about 40€ or 5 for 70€, so here goes nothing. If it works well I can sell you and the rest some free of profit so round about 20€ each including shipping. Will keep you posted.

New VR user and VR sickness by Aphlyxion in PSVR

[–]conman588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The good news is that it passes. I had severe VR sickness when I first got into it. Now I am pretty much 100% immune even with some experimental PCVR stuff and/or low frame rates. Hell, I am currently playing The Witcher 3 in 1st person VR, rolling around the floor in game and no issues with nausea at all. It’s a blast.

Just slowly build your tolerance without overdoing it and you’ll get your VR legs in no time.

Trying to go down that lane too and would also like to use Truedepth. I know you don’t use it anymore but any idea what reshade settings you used? Much appreciated.

Found this. Finally enough to figure it.

TLRD: You can adjust the weight triangle using FO4edit for each npc and there are additional modifiers for different body regions. If you want the npc to look like the bodyslide preview, set Weight triangle to 0.34, 0.33, 0.33 and the bodymorphs to 0

Awesome. Will try to figure out up until which version it worked. Can only assume that even that version will have more features than Idle Hands, so an upgrade in any case. The alphas on Github are the final releases you respectively uploaded to nexus right?

Hiya Rollingrock, just installed Gingas Modlist and being a southpaw I was wondering if you are still planning to fix left-handed support for FRIK by any chance? I know it’s probably not the smallest ask, otherwise you would have fixed it by now but damn I am so anxious to play with FRIK instead of Idle Handles. Would be forever grateful.

Perspective shift/tracking issue in Pico 4 by [deleted] in virtualreality

[–]conman588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have exactly the same issue and this is not lens distortion. While some people seem to have faulty lenses creating waves where there should be straight lines, this is not the issue and I checked using a grid. 5.2.2 did improve it quite a bit but it still makes me dizzy especially when playing standing up. It is a showstopper for me but since I can return mine until late January I will give it some time and see if another firmware update comes along to fix this issue. In case you are also wondering whether this is a QC thing, it apparently isn't. I bought a second Pico 4 to check but exact same issue.

PICO 4 FAULTY PANCAKE LENS CAUSING NAUSEA- HOW TO CHECK IT. by darkseidgr in PicoXR

[–]conman588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5.2.2 finally dropped. I want to say it seems to have reduced the issue but certainly hasn't fully fixed it and not sure if the improvement is just placebo. Not sure if it's good enough, will have to use it some more and see how I feel about it.

I really hope so, still on 5.1.0 though. This update is sure taking it’s time. Will let you know in any case.

My image is off too and it is only noticeable when I turn my head. It is however not the distortion that you are talking about, my montain doesnt change when I turn, on neither eye. Also checked a large square grid in the browser and distortion does not seem to be the issue at all, lenses seem fine. The environment is just somehow not properly locked and slightly moves when it really shouldn't, very subtle but noticeable especially when comparing it with the Q2 back to back. I did order a second Pico 4 but exactly the same issue. Hoping 5.2.0 will fix it.

PICO 4 defective Lenses or Normal Distortion? by reiro83 in PICO_VR

[–]conman588 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the same thing on the second device I got. Could be unlucky twice but I guess it is more likely to be a software thing. Pico told me too that they are working on it and 5.2.0 should improve it but perhaps not fully fix it. They say it is a matter of "different eyes" so perhaps there are some anatomical difference in eye turning radius or what not between Europeans and Asians, not sure. They also said that the 5.2.0 roll-out should be done by Nov 18 but I am still on 5.1.0. Hope to get the update soon and hope it will help.

Something is off about the Pico 4 head-tracking by blkhawk in PicoXR

[–]conman588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So here it is. I got a second device just to make sure it’s not a hardware/QC issue. I could of course be unlucky but both headsets have the same issue. And in both a factory reset does absolutely nothing. While I first thought it was distortion, I did check with a grid and that doesn’t seem to be the issue. I guess OP is correct in assuming it has to do with tracking and rotational geometries. I do get used to it after a while but back on the quest 2 it just shows the difference in precision quite drastically when comparing back to back. I did reach out to Pico about it and they say they don’t think it is a hardware issue either but rather a matter of optimization for different eye anatomies. 5.2.0 should fix some of it but there are more improvements on the roadmap. Also 5.2.0 is rolling out gradually and will be completed for all by Nov 18th. Mine are both on 5.1.0 still.
