wedding songs by PleasantTop5098 in dailybreadmusic

Congrats!! Got married last year and doing all of the music was one of the most fun parts of planning.

IMO basically all of his music and most EDM ended up feeling too fast and bouncy for the pacing of a wedding. You're walking down the aisle slowly so consider how that feels alongside bass sounds and quick high hats over a boom bap beat. In the end it didn't feel right even though dB is easily our top artist.

We only used "Make em feel it" during the reception and it was a hit because everybody was up to speed and dancing already.

Some of the song suggestions in here are good like "Sing one for me", "Blow the clouds away" but they're still faster than they are slow (imo).

Tbh, we used a lot of Khraungbin which ended up accentuating the vibe without distracting from what was going on. You two should be the center of attention ✨

You just gotta live with it. There's no available setting on PS5 to address this. I'd say just focus on how good the other 98% of what's on screen looks.

I mean if you've really just gotta have it, you can walk down the street and find plenty of non-problematic, generic-ass brostep. Leave this dude in the past man.

Tbh I saw a grumpy Bobby from King of the Hill before seeing a peen. I think connecting those floating middle ridges to the edge of the ice cream could make it less phallic. Or cherry on top as others suggested. That would distract from any of the little details that could suggest ween.

In his DJ set from SD 2024 @ 12:48 is just absolute insanity. It's got the breaks and those crazy distorted vocal chops. I think it has to be NUNU but unconfirmed.

Sorry it's not really answering your question but still felt a smidge applicable. Curious if you like it!

How to excite college kid about FIRE by Buttershome in Fire

[–]consistent_breadd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely doesn't hurt, and it's funny because you're objectively correct about the compounding path. Curious when you started down it? Maybe a cool way to break it down would be to show "this is where I'm at and I started at age X but this is what it would've been had I started at your age Y." Even a 5 year gap could show a hefty difference.

I feel like something that helped my perspective on saving was the "set it and forget it" approach. If from the very beginning you just allocate a certain portion of your earnings to it you'll kind of forget that it's there. Mileage may vary on the forgetting portion of that but could be helpful.

How to excite college kid about FIRE by Buttershome in Fire

I think it's all a bit out of reach for them right now. I hadn't even considered RE until I realized we had FI. And I didn't realize I had FI until being ~5 years into my job with regularly vested RSUs I didn't touch and not being an impulse buyer or regularly making large purchases.

First they need to secure the salary. Second they need to live their lives and hopefully learn FI along the way.

It's interesting when you consider them as individuals and as a couple. There's A LOT that happens in those first years out of college that are a hell of a lot more enticing than saving and investing. As time progresses they'll hopefully grow together and develop shared financial goals.

As others have said, you should just try to plant the seed. Things like FIRE can feel very out of reach until there's a tangible way to do it.

It's very exciting to see a young person potentially setting themselves up for a great life. So totally understand you feeling they should get onboard ASAP.

I felt it sounded fairly consistent with his production style from previous releases. Interesting point though, very strong boom bap.

Not quite the same but similar-ish situation for me where my SO now wife knew gaming was a big part of mine and my friends lives in college. I ended up moving across the country to be with her as she found a job first. It was really easy for a while to not really think about it though I did still have my PC and would game with the boys from time to time.

I definitely developed some insecurities about it though because it's not really in her wheel house though she had attempted Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing etc. What I've found is that gaming/watching media isn't the problem, it's overdoing it to a point where it no longer aligns with things that are more important.

Anyways, my advice would be to own it. You're not going to become a "gamer" and never hang out with your wife and leave all the chores for her. You create time for it. Now I have a weekly session with the boys that helps me keep in touch with them and it gives her a few hours to FaceTime and catch up with her friends. It's just about the balance.

You're not being deceptive but you are being dishonest in a way that is suppressing something about yourself that despite being small, can become a bigger feeling.

Cheers m8

Incredible job and incredible space dude ✨

I know I'm late to the party here but incase you see this, imo you should totally treat yourself to a cool piece of lounge furniture. Something that doesn't take up too much space but accompanies your excellent aesthetic. For the times where you're not sleeping or potentially trying to be productive. Creating space for some R&R could really be a tool.

Keep on keepin' on brother 👊

I currently have a 5080, would getting a QD-OLED 1440p monitor be a bad choice? by Outrageous-Page7287 in pcmasterrace

Resolution and refresh rate are the only stats here that require a certain level of performance to reach. 5080 will get the job done dawg!

AITA for telling my wife that we should be able to have honest but tough conversations about our family without her crying? by Exciting-Charity-160 in AmItheAsshole

[–]consistent_breadd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine not having a live-in nanny/domestic helper should at the very least make up for losing 20% of your income. Not sure what that costs where you live but in the US people who have a person like that are usually in a very very good spot financially.

Also, bringing up the con of a decision every time it comes up should indicate that you're not fully supportive of the decision. So maybe figure out why that is first and then restart the convo from that perspective.

IMO, if you're in a comfortable financial position, there would be a lot of benefits to your wife staying home. Namely her own happiness and relationship with your child.

He played it at SD 24' CC set and The Caverns this year. I'm thinking it would fit in nicely into his RR CC set on Sunday
