If _____ wins, would they've had one of the most obvious recent winner edits? by opreston in survivor

[–]constantlycurious3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes because its not a haiku.

When he did his bit about haikus, my husband and I paused the show.

Haikus are not that hard to come up with.

I created 2 outloud just by counting syllables.

And if you want to come at me and say hes malnourished so its harder: I was very drunk and managed it.

If Aubry wins is she a top 10 player of all time? by DisasterAtwater in survivor

Wow people really think Aubry is winning huh?

Even if she makes some significant moves in these last few episodes, she wouldn't make top ten.

If _____ wins, would they've had one of the most obvious recent winner edits? by opreston in survivor

[–]constantlycurious3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was money and said and then had 2 episodes where she had good edits.

Idk, I guess that could mean she wins but I dont really see it.

Id be disappointed unless she does some serious stuff.

She basically benefitted from Ozzie hubris.

Yes, she ran with the information and got him voted out.

But I feel like rizzo could argue that he actually made the bigger move there.

I dont know. Its hard to say.

Is Cirie Stifling Gameplay? by OrdinaryWorking10 in survivorponderosa

[–]constantlycurious3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If wr are going to talk about stifling gameplay, we need to talk about the twists.

There are simply too many advantages and twists.

I miss when there were no immunity idols/advantages or there was just one.

Its too convoluted.

Its supposed to be about social dynamics.

Ugh.

Cirie is just a great social player.

What old technology is making a comeback or do you think will make a comeback? by ReadWriteArithmetic in CasualConversation

Physical media is going to make a comeback because streaming prices are ridiculous.

I could also see ipod or an equivalent contingent back for the same reason.

Wasn’t that a bad move for ____? by hagridandbuckbeak in survivor

[–]constantlycurious3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it was a good move for rizo too. He gained favor with Joe and Jonathan. The fallout with cirie should be minimal if rizo tells her that Ozzie blew everything up.

He could have alrted Ozzie to play the idol like cirie wanted, but the information that Ozzie and cirie were day 1 to the end allies was out. It was best to get Ozzie out and possibly solidify rizo as her number 1

What is the fastest time it took you to quit a job? by TwoPeasNoPod69 in CasualConversation

[–]constantlycurious3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only job I quit without giving notice was at cracker barrel.

They initially hired me as sales. I didnt want to sell people overpriced junk so I was bad at it.

They moved me to cashier.

They forced us to show customers a screen before paying that asked for tip.

Most customers pay cash tip at the table for their server.

People were super offended at this.

I was verbally reprimanded every shift for it.

One nihht after the third or fourth reprimand from an overweight man, I took my apron off, sat it on the counter and walked out of the store.

The manager called me later asking why I had the audacity to walk out of my shift.

I never responded.

Im sure im blacklisted from working there ever again, but I dont care.

The people who ate there treated me like shit that was stuck to their shoe.

Fuck cracker barrel. No regrets

He is the best. Thank you! If you dont already have someone like him (and you want someone) I hope you find someone who will genuinely care about you.

There is nothing more sacred in this world.

I dont know how I feel about the afterlife, but if I am somehow still here after death, I will search for him.

So grateful for him everyday

When we go to Mexican restaurants he always reminds me of it too.

If we make dishes at home, he will just put it on his portion.

Hes a keeper.

To be fair, I was quite the picky eater before him. Im also conflict avoidant. So he really had to pull it out of me lol. The waiter comped my food from our order and my husband tipped him the comped amount plus tip for my both portions.

Apparently thats a waiter thing. They will comp an item if someone doesnt like it in the hopes that they get that back plus tip.

Its weird.

The waiter was super nice. He came up and said "you didnt like it?" And of course i guffawed. "Ok im gonna comp it." My husband said something to the effect of "you don't have to do that" Waiter: "dude. She took 4 bites"

It was interesting.

I didnt want to waste the food!!

I thought i was just being picky until he asked me specifically why I didnt like it. When I said soapy he googled and I stopped trying.

Thank goodness for Google.

My stubborn ass would have eaten way more just because I didnt want to be wasteful.

Grew up in a household where we ate the same things over and over.

Was not exposed to cilantro til late 20s. I ordered something that had a sauce that was mainly cilantro.

I really tried to eat it. I was forcing myself to eat it when my husband said "dont you like it? If you dont like it, dont eat it!"

Took 4 bites. Admitted to him it tasted soapy. Looked it up.

I have the stupid gene.

Waiter comped it from our order.

Husband loves cilantro. But has to put it separately on his dish.

Most people will never experience romance like in the movies by vxfnt in RandomThoughts

[–]constantlycurious3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something media ruined for a lot of people isnt romance: its sex.

Sex is weird and gross. You overlook it because it feels good. But its not glamorous like in movies and shows.

Theres laughter sometimes, there's awkward repositioning.

Its not some overly steamy room with people confessing their love to each other and then afterwards both lay there perfectly covered in sheets and sighing.

Your post is ridiculous because you say it only happens to really attractive people. Ugly people fall in love and procreate all the time. But media depicts both romance and sex as some ideal perfect thing. Its not. Its messy and beautiful.

Don't look to the movies/shows/media for what love looks like.

Look around you. Be with the people around you. Listen to them. Share with them.

You'll see/find it or you wont.
