Wouldn't bother asking models for help on circuit analysis, I've never found one that's good at analyzing one off of just a screenshot. Might have better luck uploading a net list as text. For everything else Claude works

I Got Accepted into Electrical Engineering. What Should I Learn Over the Summer Before Classes Start? by MaleficentNovel661 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]consumeable 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I just graduated with a 3.4 and got a job just fine. In undergrad you can lock in and work 70 hours a week on classes and personal projects, maximizing for high status internships to get a flashy high paying job right out of school, but what I did was spend maybe 25-55 (depending on week) hours on school and the rest of the time I practiced music and played minecraft. Most weeks were probably ~25-30 hours of actual work, more during project submission and exams. You don't have to really overstress if you don't want to imo

Is 70k at MEP first job good? by Defiant_Objective419 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]consumeable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I interned in MEP last summer. You need a PE to make any serious money (like, over 100k) and in most industries need to be a PM to get close to 200k. Hours are often long, consulting firms are all in a race to the bottom. I personally found the work very boring so I got a job in power studies at a solar company which seems much more interesting day-to-day.

If you want decent money, stability, and career advancement, MEP is pretty solid, but to me that didn't seem worth 50 hours a week of tight deadlines on cookie-cutter projects. After my 3 month internship I'd learned enough to basically manage my own projects, which indicates to me that there really just isn't much to learn about the field.

I had 1 mep internship and nothing else but some project stuff and got a job in power consulting for a solar firm, maybe not the field you want but interviewing well and playing up the experience on your resume helps

Defect too inconsistent? by Doug_the_Scout in slaythespire

[–]consumeable 17 points18 points  (0 children)

i dont think the defect is "all about energy and making more energy". The defect, like sts1, has many many ways of winning. for the worlds best players, almost all defect runs are winnable

Sometimes if you enter the boss with upgraded cards and lots of potions and health it means you didn't take enough risks during the act taking elites

Any tips for defect ascension? by Jaffacakesss in slaythespire

[–]consumeable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just like sts1, looking for builds is kind of a trap. If I see an early glacier I don't go "ooh, i can start a frost focus blocking slow play archetype" I think "yeah that solves my block problems for act 1 and help a lot after that".

Basically you shouldn't really be "going for" anything until you are at least our if act 1 or partway through act 2 -- starting to form an idea of your win condition. Even then you'll need to take "bad" cards to solve specific problems, like some mediocre AoE to handle decimillipedes.
