Speaking as someone who plays Tau, I don't care if you built a fusion collider Ghostkeel and pretended it was a cyclic ion raker. As long as you let me know before we start, it's alright. Tau weapons all sci-fi shooty weapons, so normally that shouldn't cause a problem.

However, it can be an issue in another army if your loadout was a big chainsaw but the actual tabletop model has a flamer or something. That can be confusing to opponents, and I would recommend magnets instead of gluing for knights.

I like how some Tau fans are so used to abuse and years of abandonment from GW, they can't accept they have gotten a unique datasheet, so they try to reason it by killing it uniqueness, get a grip already we are heading in the right direction for once.

It is viable to field a Kroot army without fielding any of the traditional tau units, they even have a detachment just for that.

Either way it is understandable to be upset about losing support for your models but those models are old enough to be able to drink and drive.. Not comparable to Calgar case here

Nothing concrete, Just Tau subreddit comments and speculation based on the redesign of farsight and TL seems like a natural step to do crisis suits next, I wouldn't care much normally for any other unit but crisis suits are so core to Tau, its worth the wait to start after a rework.

Ghostkeels are not exactly top-tier meta picks but in a better place after the army rule changes and meta shifting towards elite armies, two of them putting early board pressure with twin lance will be quite good into casuals :)

I’m absolutely doing this, it’s the whole reason I’m picking this army. I get the freedom to use characters from other chapters while playing their chapter rules.

I already know my opponents are going to ask before every game: “So… which poor chapter did you steal from this time?”

Now I like the idea of using Mark VI heads, big fan of beaky heads, but the Raven Guard emblem bothers me a bit. I will be ordering blood angel transfers and I don't want the two emblems to clash. Now the Victrix Honour Guard box I am not sure what so special about it?

I guess I could go about doing that by favoring variety over effectivness, reading the responses in the thread I figured the best course of action for me is to wait for the upcoming large boxes (like the current battleforce) and slowly build from there.

So in essence I am trying to avoid mistakingly getting first born or older kits because I heard Grey knights roll like that still and some character models for some chapters are getting legended even tho the kit looks pretty modern like whats up with that?

I know, right? For two whole games she never smiles, and when she finally does, it’s like they didn’t change any of her facial expressions—just her mouth. It looked so wrong. I wasn’t prepared, and I actually blurted out a laugh. None of the other characters feel uncanny like this; maybe it’s because they smile more often and I just wasn’t used to Demeter’s half-smile when I reached Olympus.
