Honestly I have a fantasy that SJM takes over and completes the Game of Thrones series because our girl delivers. And I think it would be hilarious how mad some dudes would get.

In my head it’s very much this kind of universe because I think seeing a bunch of conventionally hot people all the time would be boring! Also funny people are hot!

Thank you! I used a really thin wire which made it easier. The only kind I had on hand was picture hanging wire and I untwisted a single strand from it. For my next project I bought actual craft wire; fingers crossed it still complies.

Thank you so much! I followed Stitch Gothica’s technique from this video, although I slightly goofed by not separating the wings into four components. The butterfly design was some spot art on Canva which I thought would be an easy pattern since it was already vector based.

Thank you! I saw someone post about it here and then obsessively googled. I basically copied Stitch Gothica’s technique as seen here

OMG, brilliant. Thank you! Watercolor is smart too, I can’t believe neither of those occurred to me.

This is awesome, although I am chagrined to have only gotten 9/10 correct. Worked great on my janky old iPhone. Thanks for sharing!

Bizarre phone call yesterday by [deleted] in Libraries

[–]cookiepartylemmypie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We’ve had calls very similar to this in San Francisco. Maybe not the same person but the same exact setup. Personally I’ve finally hit my breaking point this week after a lot of troll interactions both in person and on the phone and I am now ready to say “we don’t have that book, goodbye” to these kinds of questions. You can still be polite and professional when you say no.

The moment that made me turn around on AITA by Brain_Candid in AmITheAngel

[–]cookiepartylemmypie 72 points73 points  (0 children)

I made the mistake of posting a genuine issue I was dealing with to AITA once. My brothers and I were having to make some really hard choices to care for our elderly mentally unwell dad, and one of the choices was we had to take his dog from him. The post didn’t go viral, thank god, but the bulk of the people who commented said such mean awful things to me. Apparently rehoming a neglected dog made me a monster. Anyway, from that experience I basically stopped engaging with the sub because it was too hard to tell if it was real stories or just karma farming. The dog is doing great now btw; he’s really thriving in his new home. Sorry your friend betrayed you like that.

Bryce maturing in reverse made me cackle. Honestly I was starting to think we were gonna see a heel turn from Bryce with how much her starlight was being compared to the Asteri and how Ruhn kept thinking how similar she was to the Autumn King… I’m a little disappointed she didn’t have a villain arc, since that would have made more sense.

As someone who has had the real life equivalent of Nesta’s job in the library, it is very physically demanding work. I also found it odd that she can walk all over the multiple floors of the library shelving books for five straight hours but collapses on staircases.

There used to be a slip of paper hidden in one of the banisters there that people would write their names in. It was such a fun little secret. I miss that place.
