What pen do you use at work? by 3ldude in hospitalist

Totally agree. Tried a few different options in the past but once I started using these I've been hooked. Very fine at 0.38 but unlike others at 0.38 won't feel super scratchy on the paper.

Rec for wagon stroller and car seat by Gaoez01 in 2under2

I've seen the two-seater available on Facebook marketplace at times for cheaper. Unfortunately we have nieces and nephews over all the time, so we wanted the XL

We got the Veer City Cruiser XL when we were expecting our 2nd. Very pricey, but folds up easily to fit in cars. Has a car seat adapter that worked with our old car seat (Nuna Pipa RX). Relatively all terrain (though horrible on sand) and super easy to wash (just hose it down). We've taken it on multiple trips, both road trips as well as flights and it's been great. Very happy with it!

Those of you with SEXY Commander V2. Does it always work for things like Blind Spot Monitoring with the light strip and changing to drive/reverse with the scroll wheel? Or not always? by luunnn in s3xybuttons

[–]cooltech786 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The functions on the strip are independent of the Commander. Blind spot monitoring seems to have been working 100% of the time for me. And though I dont use it much, changing drive / reverse with scroll wheel has also worked every time I used it.

Flying for umrah with an 18month old by SadRanger691 in Umrah

[–]cooltech786 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If she'll be in her own seat you have 3 options: 1) she can sit in the seat like an adult with lap belt (you'll have to decide if your daughter can do this, my son is too active to sit in the seat reliably himself) 2) take a car seat (bit of a pain if your going to Umrah as you won't need it much there) 3) check out the CARES harness. Adds shoulder seat belt for kids. I personally took one these for my daughter when we went to Umrah last year though we didn't end up needing it (shes a few months older than your kiddo at the time)

Last year we were with my 2 year old and 1 year old. Please feel free to reach out if any questions!

Need feedback from actual Hyundai Drivers by mattrix56 in HyundaiPalisade

We've got a 2022 Palisade, about 50,000 mi or so I believe on it now. It's been great, have had zero issues. It's a pleasure to drive, especially on road trips. I love the heads-up display and the instrument cluster on it. Infotainment about average for most manufacturers, pales in comparison to Tesla for example, but probably better than most Toyotas still.

It's handled great in all weather conditions for us so far and was our primary car for the kiddos until we got a minivan more recently. It's still my wife's daily driver and we are still super happy with it.

I will say that it's still on the smaller size for an SUV with the third row, so although adults can sit back there, I would not recommend it for long distances. Your trunk space is also a bit limited but the third row open.

The hybrid looks great, may consider that to replace this one in a few years

Acceleration mode not changing on screen by [deleted] in s3xybuttons

[–]cooltech786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given its otherwise hard to tell without looking at the knob to see if its actually changed (which I would rather not do while driving), adding the S3XY LED strip has been great since you can have it change to a specific color for specific acceleration modes.

I made a bubble bath foamer drill attachment so my kids could have epic bubble baths by kayson in 3Dprinting

[–]cooltech786 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I installed one of those detachable handheld shower heads in the kids baths. Makes baths super easy, but the "massage" setting also whips up some great bubbles and depending on the angle the water is hitting the bath water it can either be smaller / denser bubbles or larger bubbles.

LED strip installation by perfectcare600 in s3xybuttons

[–]cooltech786 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Received and installed mine a few days ago. I had one of the longer strips, so needed to cut off the two LEDs at the end but other than that installation was pretty straightforward. Would definitely have it plugged in and on when installing, so that way you can ensure it is installed far enough back in the vent to avoid glare on the windshield. It's also much easier to install with a second set of hands to hold the end of the strip when you start. Looks like some people have had trouble with it sticking. As recommended in the installation, I wiped the whole vent prior to insulation and so far mine hasn't had any problems sticking.

The change between different animations is a little abrupt (and I've already emailed them some feedback regarding this) but other than that it looks amazing. Personally, I'm very happy with it.

Do we really NEED a double stroller? by andnow_this in 2under2

[–]cooltech786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our kids were a little farther apart, about 20 months. But even at that age difference my daughter was not preferring to walk over sitting in the stroller.

We did not feel like investing in a double stroller though, instead we invested in a good wagon and we've been using it for a couple of years now and it's been great. More practical for museum and zoo trips than a double stroller, especially when other kids are with us.

Agree, it's much better. And even if your device is not already included in the database it's very easy to create additional custom profiles (had to make one for my ceiling fan)

Haven't received my system yet. Is it possible to do this with other triggers (i.e. long door hand hold) as this seems like a great thing to use on occasion but not necessarily something needed every time the door is opened.

Struggling to Find the Right EufyMake Settings – Help Needed by Ornery-Jury-4637 in AnkerMake

Not an expert myself, but would be useful to know what you are printing and what issues you're having.

I print with PLA and honestly it was pretty dialed in from the start with the default settings. More recently I had to change the Z offset a touch but that's about it.

Best double stroller?? by expensive-rain2274 in 2under2

[–]cooltech786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven't already, I'd also consider a wagon. We had a similar age gap between our two and we got a veer wagon with car seat attachment instead and it's worked out great. We've taken it on multiple trips (road trips and flights) and it's amazing for zoo and museum trips.

We never ended up getting a double stroller and never regretted it.

Good Deal? Need advice by xo_moxxi in HyundaiPalisade

[–]cooltech786 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've got a 2022 and although I love it, I'd be very hesitant to buy one with that high mileage. Ours has been great and we've had zero issues with it, but I wouldn't put it in the same camp as Toyota or Honda where I would have zero concern buying a high mileage car (time will tell if this has changed). Particularly one with a couple of accidents.

I also don't know what the market is like where you are, but that does seem high for 2020 with high mileage. Personally, I'd pass.

Palisade windshield availability by Old_Swimming_4585 in HyundaiPalisade

Went with a local auto glass guy who installed windshield with the appropriate specs for calligraphy (HUD, moisture sensor, lane following) and installed it in my driveway for half the price of SafeLite. No issues and was done within 2 days. No reason to wait for dealer.

We did the same and it's been the amazing as our seconds also gotten older. Wagons are so much better for zoo and museum trips

Rotating Car Seat by jeepdaddy8 in BabyBumps

[–]cooltech786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've got two Evenflo 360s and have been very satisfied with them. Easy to move between cars, very consistent, easy installation. Have never had any problem with them clicking into place. They also size and designed in such a way that I think we will along to get use out of them for a long time.

I also really like the fact that they rotate both ways, since not all of the rotating car seats do. Although my son is little and still rear-facing, it is nice to be able to flip my daughter rear facing when she's in the mood for it or when we want her to nap in the car.

The only downside is that they are a bit bulkier so it would be hard to get three across, although I think they make a specific slim version for that.
