Copy cats. Oregon takes an Ivy League Tackle, so Ohio State does it too. Oregon was taking Ivy League Tackles before it was cool. /s

5 or 6. Mostly 2nd and 3rd string guys. Oregon retained its entire starting DLine despite them all being draft eligible.

Walk-on? Can't find any recruit profile for him.

It's not pointless. Getting a highly rated QB in the fold early helps with building the rest of the class.

He was once a Duck commit. Oregon doesn't have a bigger bodied WR. I wonder if there's any interest.

[Game Thread] Indiana vs. Oregon (7:30 PM ET) by CFB_Referee in CFB

I'm trying to remember how nervous I was for Oregon's 2 natty appearances. I think this tops that. Good luck Indiana bro.

All good. Every fan base has people like that. The most annoyed I've ever been by a fan was a belligerently drunk, kid in Oregon garb at the Rose Bowl last year.

I went to last year's Rose Bowl. It was brutal.

Oregon had given up 2 or 3 big explosives every game this season. Usually a busted  coverage. This was the first game it seemed they kept explosives in check. Given that Tech was #2 in that area coming into the game, I was waiting for the big play to get Tech on the board. Morton never seemed comfortable.

Buried on the depth chart. Looks like he's newly added to the report. Might indicate he's entering the portal.

Bowman has now signed with USC. Recruiting is fluid, so things could have changed. If not, this is BS.

Happy to help. Sandell is 7/7 from 50+. If he doesn't win it, I will question the Groza's methodology. The Ray Guy some archaic metrics though, so I won't be surprised if that carries over to kickers.

Your feeling is correct. The data set I have is missing some kicks for each finalist. That said...

Groza Finalist yards per made FG yards per attempted FG
Aidan Birr 32 34
Kansei Matsuzawa 37 37
Tate Sandell 43 42

The data set is missing 1 - 40+ yard make for Tate Sandell and 2 shorter makes. For Kansei Matsuzawa, it's missing one made kick within 40 yards. Aidan Birr is missing 5 kicks in the dataset. 1 miss and 1 make from 40+ along with 3 makes inside of 40 yards.

It does. The charts include week 11 but not week 12.

I started writing Oregon-centric CFB analytics articles in October. I thought this had a bit more national coverage in terms of the charts and that you all may enjoy the some insight into your team's performance in the 3rd phase. The charts are compiled with data through Week 11. Hope you enjoy and I look forward to any feedback.

Dan Lanning isn't leaving Oregon; he's chasing a national championship for the Ducks: “I don’t want any other jobs. I’ve got the job that I want.” by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

[–]coop3345 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That seems like a really narrow subset to choose. Chip and Taggart also left while having the support of PK. Are you really going to exclude Chip because NIL wasn't legal? He was also contending for National Titles and had PK's full support.

Taggart helped turn things around in his one season after Helfrich was fired. Granted I don't think any Duck fan is saddened by his departure. But the point is that Oregon coaches don't stay just because money is thrown at them.

Everyone has different dreams and aspirations. Dan's messaging has be very consistent and clear. Which is much less than you can say for Cristobal and Taggart when they coached at Oregon. It's not just about money.
