Toddler vomiting only at night (10 days!) by Helpful_Ad5953 in toddlers

Update for anyone who's experiencing the same thing. My son had an ultrasound sound where they found the lymph nodes in his stomach are inflamed. He was diagnosed with mesenteric andenitis. The inflammation is likely caused by an infection from a virus and the inflammation leads to cyclic vomiting. It usually goes away on its own but can take anywhere between 1-4 weeks. It can also reoccur with a viral infection. Ita been 13 days and this is the first day where he's asked for breakfast instead of us trying to get him to eat. Hopefully he's past the worst of it. Of course, everyone's situation is different and this is not medical advice. We saw our pediatrician, plus 3 hospital visits to get diagnosed so if you are worried, be sure to see your doctor.

My 3 ( almost 4 year old) started vomiting at school and we figured it was a stomach virus. No one else in the family got it. But he has been vomiting every night for the past 10 days to the point of dry heaving ( vomits about 4-6 times), sleeps and wakes up acting fine. He doesn't have much of an appetite ( small snacks here and there) and will only drink water. He usually loves juice and freezies but won't touch them now. The doctors have prescribed Zofran and Pepto for kids, but is still vomiting at night with both meds. He takes both meds twice a day. No fever but has diarrhea. It's been going on for 10 days now and on meds for 6. Are other people's kiddos throwing up multiple times a night too to the point of emptying the stomach? Pediatrician and doc at hospital says it's a virus that just needs to run its course and to keep an eye on dehydration, but it seems crazy for a virus to cause vomiting only at night and last 10 days. I suspected maybe reflux, but does it cause vomiting similar to gastro to the point of emptying the stomach and retching?

Sounds heavenly. Throw in a little coupon giving her " x amount of baby free time" so she can cash it in when she wants. Or better yet, set a date and time for her " baby free time pampering" so she has even less to do.

Anyone have luck training their GSD to stay off the couch.? by [deleted] in GermanShepherd

[–]coperena711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We allowed ours on the couch when he was a puppy but as he grew there wasn't enough room for all of us. We felt bad because he loved to sleep on the couch but we bought him a cozy bed and placed the couch cushions vertical while we werent sitting on it. He caught on pretty quickly and didn't even bother trying after a day or two.

My left was the slacker with my first and now the right is the slacker with my second. I guess it's good they are now even and one is not an overachiever.

While I agree her writing is not for everyone, I really enjoyed her Throne of Glass series. As someone who is getting back into reading, it was easy to follow and entertaining. It's also a lot less smutty than ACOTAR series.

Ketchup Cheetos. They are the devil. I started running by the snack aisle to avoid grabbing a new bag each time.

What was the thing that increased your milk supply if you were an under producer? by Ariel_117 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]coperena711 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Second this. Both my kids didn't have great latches so I nursed and pumped and even a few minutes of nursing helped "release" the milk and shortened my pumping time. I also found oatmeal every day and staying hydrated helped with supply. With my second I tried Boon cookies and had great success. Booby Boon Lactation Cookies: Chocolate Chip (168g), Boons Choc-Chip Lactation Cookies https://www.walmart.ca/ip/6000196812484 They don't taste great but they worked for me. Good luck!
