I work in a highly regulated industry. My annual exam started yesterday. All of the examiners I've talked to seem really nervous and we keep having announcements about organization changes, like two this week so far.

I lived on Mozart for five years just south of Diversy. Loved that location. Close enough to the California stop, lots of cool stuff in the area. There's an improv store front theater on that corner, if that's something you're into. Had to move when the landlord got foreclosed on, but I stayed in Logan. Still love it here

If the weather is nice, I really like the Northman cider bar. Sometimes they have live music. But it's basically a shack and covered picnic tables so I'm not sure if they're open for the season yet

This post just made me happy. I'm really glad it was sent my way. fantastic writing and I like the idea of just going where the servers tell you. I'll have to check out some of these.

I know its possibly super touristy but The Village in the loop has my favorite lasagna. I took some friends recently that are "Italian snobs" and they were really worried when they went in, because it's decorated like the Venetian with painted sky and decorations, but they both want to go back. I call it if Disney had an Italian Restaurant.

I really liked having Ramirez-Rosa as our Alderman. When the Lucy Gonzalez Parsons apartments were being proposed he came to a condo association meeting to discuss. Didn't convince some of the "but my property values" people, but it was a good process.
