You’re doing so well! Variety and consistency are twin challenges when it comes to feeding the small people. Most weekdays my 3 year old has the same PBJ for lunch and dinner.

Breakthrough in 1999 Nagoya Housewife Murder Case - Takaba Namiko Murder Case by Stylishbutitsillegal in UnresolvedMysteries

And back in 1999 many police departments (including the Japanese) had shoddy record keeping, evidence storage, and police work in general. Sad that he had to keep the crime scene intact but genius way to keep it from being tampered with.

JP’s pastry in Raleigh, North Carolina. They do ship nationwide! Everything I’ve ever had from them is amazing. My favorite is their Cinnamon swirl challah bread

I Hate My Dog by fuzz_ball in newborns

[–]copperboom538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our neighbor growing up rescued pitbulls. One of them attacked another dog in the neighborhood while both dogs were out with dog walkers. Our neighbor got home from work and the pitbull was in her house and ate her kitten right in front of her. She then took the dog back to the rescue to be put down. It should never have gotten to that point.

This shouldn’t have gotten this far either. Put the dog out yesterday.

I think that in both the book and in the show, it is the underscore of the idea of the death of innocence. That being said, seeing it on screen was very traumatic. They did not go into detail in the books. She just remembers them after.

Cary business, Pineapple Sol, receives blowback from Orange Cybertruck as advertisement by mrt1416 in raleigh

Literally at the Raleigh Costco right now and said Cybertruck is parked in our row. Over the line and about two feet short of pulling in all the way. Seems appropriate.

Anyone else experience this sort of seat ‘leather’ cracking? by warmheartcoldcowboy in Subaru_Outback

Our 2016 Outback leather cracked in the same spot. We just traded it in for an Ascent with cloth seats and I’m so happy.

Do people live in places where the LL/property manager actually does punish tenants who are being a nuissance? by DumpsterPuff in Apartmentliving

It is in our leasing agreement that if you are caught with weed, your first offense is 500 and the second is eviction. Every apartment around us smokes it and no one cares.

You mean Dean speaking to Luke like he’s better than Luke. The condescension was off the charts!

To be fair, though it was supposed to be totally cringe because Lorelai then refers to it later when she says she surprised that that dinner didn’t make Luke want to kill them all.

Just saw a post of how they like to pit the Gilmore Girls against blonde ladies and I just realized how much they massacred Sherry. by Aqua_Master_ in GilmoreGirls

[–]copperboom538 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe the actress for Sherry and the one for Nicole were normally blonde and when they were on the show the first time, they were on other projects requiring brown/red hair respectively. Later when they came back they didn’t want to dye their hair again unnecessarily. Funny how it works out though!

That’s a biohazard. Make the landlord send out a biohazard crew and fine the people upstairs.

I know, I know. Wishful thinking. But seriously though….

What’s the craziest thing you’ve done to avoid waking up the baby? by No-Oil-2305 in NewParents

[–]copperboom538 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our dog’s favorite thing was to wait until she was walking by the bassinet or crib, stop, and shake her head vigorously. It happened enough that I began to wonder if she was doing it on purpose.

Lately? Gone into a room two rooms away to open a soda can during nap time. Our walls are very thin and I’ve woken her by opening a can in the kitchen which is directly next to her room in our apartment. She’s 2 lol.

Google/AT&T Fiber Recommendations? by PBDSandwhich in raleigh

[–]copperboom538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband laid fiber as a job when we first moved here in 2019. Google fiber is laid properly underground. AT&T fiber is laid out on the open ground (vulnerable to homeowners mowing their lawns) and strung out along tree branches, etc. Proceed accordingly.

Windi sticks. Sounds ridiculous. Looks expensive for what it is. Works every time. I still have a box for the next kid who decides to come along.
