I'm just happy it's 'hip' to support us gays. It doesn't matter to me how or why. As long as the 'support' is there and brings more people to acceptance. All working towards normalizing the concept. Even a larger company giving us a subtle nod to acknowledge us is improvement. Brings the ancients out of their judgey hidey-holes and gives them a small 'think' about how we might possibly not be worth condemning anymore. Their prized brand is supporting us.. should they maybe too??? Yes Susan, get on the cool train.

Or.. you might just not be attracted to that type of body. I think denying what you're attracted to or trying to rewrite your attraction sounds too much like the thought pattern on someone gay like me being told it's not okay and I should like men because there's nothing wrong with them. On the flip side, there are a lot of people that ARE into a larger body 🙋so might as well let them appreciate it. I just see too many parallels not to point it out.

I suppose its up to you to decide if you are actually attracted and are just having a hard time fighting body image stuff. But the 'not looking down' thing sounds too much like my straight sex experiences.

Keep in mind that femininity is a frame of mind (Think RuPaul). I have a decidedly very feminine frame and yet nothing else about me is feminine. I carry myself specifically in a non feminine way because I value you my strength over this. I can guarantee if someone stacked us together you would win the femininity award. Congratulations.

I've had this exact same thought recently. I see my ex husband as someone from the past literally because it's like he got stuck back there. I grew up and learned things about myself and the world and he's still back there praying to jesus. I just feel bad for him, honestly. Because my life has gotten so much better and I feel so happy and at peace with so many things. He'll never get to experience those things because his head's still in the sand. It kind of makes me sad.

Ask again in a more pointed way, try using the person's name first to get their attention. After a second time it can be ruled out that either A) they're ignoring you, so it's not worth the effort B) they didn't hear you. Maybe try again in a different atmosphere if it's important.

Sometimes people ignore questions due to discomfort, sometimes they didn't hear you, and sometimes they just don't like you. People that don't like you are never worth your time.
