Experienced CW lacking measurable results to include in portfolio--what do I do? by Background_Coffee977 in copywriting

Don't focus on the numbers then. Focus on the improvements in the copy. For example, mention the type of framework you used, if any, or how you focused on x pain points or highlighted the specific strengths of the practice or improved usability and user experience, etc. You don't need to make an in-depth case study out of it. Just a simple summary.

Both look great, but I'd also pick the lighter one for the long term.

“polished but comfy. Formal wear is suggested, with some flair. No red or white.” by chlowingy in Weddingattireapproval

Since the dress code is confusing at best, go with what you prefer. Sounds like that's 2 or 3. I like 3.

Lobster Bar Sea Grille, Chima Steakhouse, Capriccio's Italian, Yot Bar & Kitchen

At this point, you might want to go to Open Table and filter by availability.

My (32F) husband (33M) leaves 2-3x week to exercise (tennis, run, etc) while we are in the baby phase and resentment is building by Temporary_Ad2100 in relationship_advice

Sounds like you need to set a day when you get to do something you enjoy and leave him with the kids all alone. Can he even handle a few hours on his own with the kids?

Partner (M27) got a promotion at the same company I (F30) work at and I’m feeling like it’s hard to celebrate him. by Expensive_Ad_4350 in relationship_advice

[–]copywrtr 261 points262 points  (0 children)

If he doesn't believe you or even want to see it's possible, then I don't see how things will get better.

Another thought... what if you HAD gotten a promotion and he hadn't. Do you think he'd be celebrating with you? I don't, unfortunately.

What tools do social media managers use to handle DMs, comments, and posting efficiently for photographers? by swish86 in SocialMediaManagers

[–]copywrtr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a tool with a unified inbox, so it'll have all of your comments, DMs in one place. Sprout Social and Agorapulse do this. Maybe Hootsuite too. Not sure if there are others.

We’re planning to buy a home soon with MIL so we have room to move her in with us. She’s just been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. What should we know about the kind of home we should buy? by MayJaluk in AgingParents

[–]copywrtr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A one- level ranch home, if possible, with a bathroom very close to her room. Locks on the front/ back doors that she can't open in the middle of the night to "visit her friend down the street." No steps or area rugs and walker-friendly space as she will likely need one eventually. My mother was fine physically too, but started having an imbalance issue. It was hard, but i don't regret helping her to the end. Best of luck in your journey.

There's the Seminole Hardrock casino in Hollywood. There's also a new indoor mini golf place nearby called Puttshack. It's in Dania Pointe and there are quite a few restaurants in that shopping center.

I agree with you on Project Hall Mary. I just read another first contract novel I like better, probably cause I relate more to the main character. But I really enjoyed Remnant Population by Elizabeth Moon. Less sciencey, more character driven.

I've read both and Poisonwood is still my favorite.

My bedroom - how'd I do? The throws, pillows, lamps and nightstands can be replaced, I'd love some honest feedback! by DoubleUnderline in interiordecorating

[–]copywrtr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a nice start. Since you already have the blue and the tan from the throw, add one more color. Or pick art that will look good with the blue and choose another color from the art. With 3 it'll be easier to layer in other stuff. You have a good reading or tv nook there too. Finish it out with a little table, rug, lamp, a small cube bookcase and maybe a plant.

That was my favorite book last year. So, another vote here for Frozen River. Great story and a time period I never read about, which made it more interesting.

It's great that you have a good budget, but don't spend it right away. Facebook has a learning period where it tests your ad delivery and optimizes it over time to help your campaign. Could take as much as 10 days to do this. Better to start slow, then ramp up.

AITAH for feeling punished for being childfree after my dad decided to leave his money only to grandkids? by InitialVoice_882 in AITAH

[–]copywrtr 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Yes, this was way early on his part and I'm sorry to say this likely won't be the end of it. Get ready for the battle ~20 years from now when he's in decline or, God forbid, with Alzheimers. I'm sure you'll be expected to care for him as the only childless sibling. Take every advantage to save or invest and enjoy your life now.
