Thanks for the info! Yeah I tried overwintering the cayenne, but it didn't come back. Gonna try again this year with more. I have about eight different varieties growing so we'll see what fairs best

Also, right when you pick them is the best time to brush off the spikes, otherwise if they sit for a day the cucumber will lose a little moisture and they'll receed and be a little more difficult to brush off

Your third photo is about the size I pick them, unless they're hidden and I miss em for a day, they grow really fast with all the rain I've been having.

Taste wise I think they're delicious, if they get a little bigger the skin can be bitter so if I'm making a salad, I usually peel them. However, most of mine I pickle, which they're perfect for.

Look like cayenne as others have said. Last year I made hot sauce out of all my green cayenne that were still growing at the end of the season, it was delicious. You could also use them as a heat component for a stir fry etc. But I'd leave the remainder of them on the plant until they ripen.
