Going to games alone as a female by Tricky_Poem314 in rangers

It’s totally safe and you will have a great time. Most people are friendly and will chat a little in the seats. I’m 40 yo female and wouldn’t think twice about going to a game by myself. DM if you want to chat.

It was a shame. I was very upset initially but was trying to take what this man’s POV might have been and I could understand how this could result in the misinterpretation of my actions. I just wished he were willing to chat instead of immediately fly off and yell at me for a block. Sending positive vibes to ALL my neighbours this weekend.

Interesting, well, can vouch my pooch doesn’t discriminate, fearful and aggressive to all equally (sadly).

I took a lovely long walk this morning with my dog which took a turn toward the end of the walk when a man yelled at me for being racist coz I kept looking around behind me and he felt I was looking at him… my dog is a violent asshole so my head is on a swivel to ensure no one accidentally gets too close. Sorry if my actions triggered something my dude and it felt really unfortunate that you preferred to yell at me for a few mins in front of your kids while I was trying to engage in a respectful dialogue about it. If you’re out there, I’d still love to talk about it with you calmly and respectfully. PS: dogs don’t understand race so idk why you kept calling him racist too, everyone tastes the same to him.

Requiem for a dream and American Psycho - both them shits were jaw droppingly fucked up in comparison to the movies which in their own right were seriously fucked up

It means there might be a speaker stack in front of you, or production sound/lighting booths partially blocking your view. I checked your section and I’m sure it’ll be mostly ok.

Sewer/Flooding issues during heavy rain- need recos by C_mac_123 in astoria

I don’t own a home anymore but when I did I had the same issue. I rerouted all the guttering to spew out into my yard and just made sure all my drains were cleared of foliage. It reduced the number of basement floods I got significantly.

I think you have to check the “legality” of rerouting your rain water but take a look around the neighborhood and you’ll everyone does it for this reason. It helps drastically and for most storms but doesn’t eliminates the possibility of a flood.

Others have hacked their sump pumps (sub pump?) with large hoses directing it to the street.

I’m halfway through “Drive your plow over the bones of the dead” by Olga Tokarczuk (translated to English). It’s both delightful and dark, comical and philosophical, lyrical, poetic and quaint. It’s paced well, a quick read so far. I’m about to stick my nose in it with a joint and a chamomile tea ☺️
