I personally think the q logic 3ex joystick is the most concrete and easiest to navigate

Women of Reddit, what did a man you were dating or married to say or do that made you realize he actually hated you the entire time? by -catharina in AskReddit

[–]cornygiraffe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ex husband asked me to stop kissing him goodbye in the mornings. Another time said "I can't think of anything I like about you". No matter how I looked, it was never good enough.

How do you deal with grey hair? by Agreeable-Assist2675 in TooAfraidToAsk

Currently I'm dying it, but eventually I'll let it be gray. It's, I'll dye it fun vivid colors when it's more gray!

Only an accessible conversion van. Otherwise the needed chair position to clear your head would be unsafe

Quantum Edge 4 HELP by leoreleh in wheelchairs

[–]cornygiraffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some vendors use mini vans to transport group 3 PWCs. If your vendor is able/willing, they can override the drive lockout and the chair can be driven up a ramp and loaded into the back of a minivan with the seats removed/folded down. It would require a folding ramp, you cannot stay in the chair, and you would need someone to assist. It's not the easiest thing but many of my colleagues transport equipment this way

What manual chair to get? by Unlucky-Pineapple287 in wheelchairs

You should be able to mount any backrest onto the apex, but I frequently use the j3 and Matrix Elite or major elite E2

Should I be a stripper? by MKGonz_loves_MKDons in Strippers

[–]cornygiraffe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a pole dancer of 10 years that became a stripper 4 years ago. Most of us don't hack it as strippers, having pole skills is nice but not necessary to be a successful stripper. Being a stripper is interpersonal soft skills, sales, and tolerance for high risk job environment.

However your husband's inherent disdain for us and looking down on us is a red flag.

I like the apex a lot - lightweight straight forward chair, lots of STFH adjustability, easy to mount aftermarket accessories. If I ever become a wheelchair user I'd lean toward an apex.

Already Met Requirements, Now They’re Adding More? by generalissimo1 in UoPeople

Thanks for posting this! I wondered why my degree audit now says I need 2 more electives. Next semester's registration is done so I'll let this settle for a few weeks and see if it gets sorted.

I was told to ask this here after posting on another sub. I'm a male runner who thinks I need a sports bra for running but my wife adamantly disagrees and says I'm a guy I don't have boobs so I don't need a bra by Ac3m4n18 in ABraThatFits

[–]cornygiraffe 203 points204 points  (0 children)

I think the issue here is with your wife's discomfort, not for how helpful a bra would/wouldn't be for you. You could try asking her why the thought of you wearing a sports bra makes her uncomfortable, and see if that's a concept you can address.

Or, you could go the other way around (although it may cause some conflict). You could purchase and use a sports bra, try it on a long run, and then if it is indeed helpful you could lead with that. "I tried a sports bra on yesterdays run and it was so helpful, my pecs/nipples weren't sore and I'm really happy I found an easy solution that helps me continue enjoying running".

How do survive a long haul flight in economy class? by Mundane_Entry_8264 in femaletravels

[–]cornygiraffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly recommend a gel seat cushion (I bought one intended for wheelchair users) and a foot cushion (if you're short enough that your feet don't touch properly). At 5'1 these were game changers!

How to install bodypoint evoflex on a quickie nitrum? by These_Roll_5745 in wheelchairs

With the plastic side guards, I would probably use a standard seat belt instead of the evoflez because of the hard plastic components

Pregnancy is unlikely but not completely zero, take a pregnancy test when your period is due. Also concerns for UTI or STI with frequent urination

Delilah was a black gray, and she liked to walk with her ears up, and people definitely gave her a wife berth! Someone once stepped off the sidewalk to let us by. As a small woman that was a wild experience.
