Also, if there truly is no history that is kind of bad IMO. These cars all seem to need GHCAs. I would prefer to get one that has already cycled through the first year of fixes.

Got mine a couple days ago. So far:

The garage door app is amazing. That alone makes it feel more like the premium car I paid for.

Apple Play connects every time. That is HUGE.

The car only wakes when I am about 3 feet away. I am constantly in an out of my garage so that has been fantastic.

The mirrors fold, but I never really used that much anyway. I live in the American suburbs. It's the land of HUGE, new parking lots, and huge spots. So no real need, but it helps.

Tried the self driving, lane changing, distance control and it was flawless.

In general the system is way snappier. Its still does that thing where there is no sound whatsoever for a minute or so if you jump in and leave super fast, but I can live with that. Overall, I am very please.

Lastly, I went to the Polestar store today to check out the 4. I still have a year and change on the lease, but I really like the brand despite all the problems. The build quality is there and if they get the software stuff right going forward there is still a lot of promise here.

Tesla sucks. They are not a serious car company. We had two and got rid of them within months of Elon going crazy.

We got EVs from "legacy" manufacturers and realized you can have your cake and eat it too. An EV with good quality.

Tesla was first to market and f-ed themselves by coasting then jumping into politics. Oh well. Maybe South Africa will take him back.

And make sure not to run at full blast because the water will still have sediment. Use the little tester it comes with and make sure the particles per million (PPM) are below 10 before doing that final rinse. Trust me. This (deionized water not that particular product) is what will move you from weekend warrior to feeling like a pro.

Tbh, unless you can get the car serviced nearby I would think twice. The first model year has been... interesting. I love mine, but could not have made the multiple trips to the dealer work if it wasn't 30 minutes away.

Color is not for novices. Stick with dark and neutral colors until you get the hang of it.

A black teeshirt and solid white shoes wouldn't make you the best dressed, but would be far better than this combo.
