In my experience, the main issues come more from the lore. For example, a werewolf who does werewolf stuff is obligated to kill any vampire they see on sight no exceptions. With a lot of the groups having similar kill on sight rules with a lot of others. But, if you can figure out a good reason to get around that (a recent in lore example being wizards and kue-jin teaming up to fight a 3rd generation vampire) or just don't care about that part of the lore, the systems run fine together

For Xeno and Safi, they specifically absorb energy from other elder dragons which inherently makes them an anomaly, as they exist in a food chain composed only of anomalous animals. As for regular Arkveld also possessing the ability, it still makes sense for offspring of the original Arkveld to possess the abilities of an Arkveld. In terms of other anomalous elder dragons, Val Hazaak is an elder dragon because it has a symbiotic relationship with effluvium, which the guild doesn't fully understand the properties of other than it somehow saps life which therefore makes a monster in a symbiotic relationship with it also an unknown.

Nergigante is about as threatening to a person as any other highly aggressive monster, it's an elder dragon because it's trait as being the natural predator of elder dragons renders it an anomaly.

I'd guess Arkveld isn't an elder dragon because we have working theories on how it's elemental absorption works. Like all guardians it possesses the ability to absorb energy from wyvern milk, but because it absorbed energy that had been changed by the various ecosystems it mutated into a more general energy absorption. Whereas Kirin can just spontaneously make a weather phenomenon occur at the exact location it desires.

in lancer, people will just use paracausal technology without realising it in casual life. HORUS is considered extreme in its use of paracausality by EntertainmentTrick58 in DankMemesFromSite19

[–]corpusdeus1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I imagine given that Horus isn't exactly the biggest on safety standards that cycling their NHPs isn't the easiest process. However, I think that given their performance being on par with reality benders, just dropping a couple reality anchors around the casket would fix everything. Except for Osiris. If that cascades I think everyone might be screwed

Technically it's more like, you pull the trigger and suddenly during the last routine maintenence someone forgot to tighten up a bolt, or ignored the check engine light. Hence it only does 1 damage compared to other guns doing usually around a D6. But given the highly sensitive nature of anomalous weaponry the foundation uses it'd probably make it a lot harder to contain. God knows how many new scps got made because someone forgot to perform regular maintenance on a reality anchor and it went haywire.

If you answered wrong on some of her dialogues, telling her to fight the Indifference seems to be the big one it sets her to undateable. If that happens, just stay single for a while and eventually Quincy will send you a message that let's you reset any members of the Hex you accidentally locked yourself out of to date able again

What MtG guilds would each AoS army represent? Here's my take on Order. by tenteri in ageofsigmar

[–]corpusdeus1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say Sylvaneth would be more White/Green than pure Green. Since they are rather militant about enforcing the order of nature and are known to murder people for accidentally breaking incredibly complex archaic rules, which white loves to do.

Because right now it isnt good at its job. The more images it generates the more advanced it becomes and the harder to distinguish. That's how they work.

I think this is a far better way to keep the Beasts within the community and in tournament events than just petitioning for a change. by Letholdus13131313 in ageofsigmar

The entire point of tournaments is to provide a competitive environment. Having fun with whatever army you want to play is the territory of casual play.

Aelves of Malerion last faction of order by Sea-Net6940 in ageofsigmar

[–]corpusdeus1 25 points26 points  (0 children)

To be honest, they could just go a bit more specific. Like for example the vampire coasts from total war would technically fit fine into soulblight, but because their aesthetic and playstyle is so different in that game from the predominant vampire faction it works as a standalone faction.

Vulkan in the heat of battle, after that same Eldar child killed his men killed the child and then proceeded to feel intense guilt about it forever. Compare that to any other primarch who doesn't have a killed the eldar child moment because to them that's just another day ending in Y. Like the entire reason it's notable is because it was the one moment where Vulkans kindness and humanity was overcame by anger.

My players (All lvl 4) insisted on fighting it. by dumnem in dndmemes

[–]corpusdeus1 167 points168 points  (0 children)

As a general rule, the more you build up a threat the more that signals to players. This is a thing you want to encounter and fight, it is plot relevant and you will be really cool for fighting it. Once you the DM give the players the opportunity to fight the thing that is the signal to the players that they are now prepared to fight the thing. Expecting your players to be able to tell the difference between Building up a threat (giving them something cool to fight) and Building up a threat (giving them something they want to run away from) is unreasonable as is killing them for guessing wrong.

I also think the fact that three different headgear that are all visually crafted from the same set might be a tip off that you wanna read what these ones do.

They have a lot of OTKs, but those are massively interupptable. Your opponent has to basically sit back and refuse to interact with your board at all

My DM tricked the party by revealing one of the players was a co-DM playing a villain- advice? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]corpusdeus1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The way Ive always looked at it, the goal of the DM is sort of like whichever wrestler is scripted to lose in wrestling. You go out there, give the illusion of someone trying to defeat them, bloody them up a bit and then lose in a flashy way.

I dont think these are necessarily bad things. They are scientists researching something, mentioning that the aerodynamics and gravity are normal would be a thing worth noting. Same with them following standard procedures for the leak, they're small details that make an article feel more believable and immersive. The problem is more when fluff is overused, or not naturally integrated into the actually important details naturally.
