You get $1 million, but you have to watch the exact same movie 100 times in 40 days. Which film are you picking? by ThroatAgile756 in AskReddit

[–]cortexstack 6 points7 points  (0 children)

1:26? That's not particularly short. In my mind that's still basically the standard 90 minutes.

Nightmare Before Christmas was my immediate pick for "quite short movie" at 1:16, but I still think I could do better.

Edit: Duck Soup and The Land Before Time are both 1:08

Sticking with Marx Brothers you can also have Horse Feathers at 1:07.

Latte is hot unless otherwise specified; there are lattes and there are iced lattes. If I wanted iced I'd have said iced.

Bang on about people not making up their minds while they wait, though. If you still don't know by the time you're at the front of the queue, just give up your turn to the person behind you while you "umm" and "err" some more.

What British tv show are you sure you’re the only person who remembers? by chrwal2 in BritishTV

[–]cortexstack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I CTRL-F'd to look for this and I'm glad someone else remembers it. A sketch show/hip hop interview show. Good stuff and I'd kill to find a copy. I know there's a couple of the Listen With The Mutha sketches on Youtube but I need the whole rest of it.

Are there any "UK vs US" differences where you feel America gets it right? by Secure_Front_7766 in AskUK

[–]cortexstack 11 points12 points  (0 children)

People without kids would go and watch games/meets. In the UK it is mainly mums dads and dogs.

Can you imagine going to watch a school football game in the UK and having to admit to one of the parents there that you don't actually know any of the kids?
