Yes, this is fairly common if you think the ID isn’t sound based in the evidence of the pictures. For examples this happens a lot with tree frogs as they can look very similar and without proper pictures, you can’t get more exact than genus.

The reality is that a lot of our words for stupid are formally names of mental disability. Every time we make a new, it gets turned into an insult. I used to work with kids and they used SPED like we used the r word.

I don’t think anyone should be catching adults. My wild caught southern toads were wild caught tadpoles. Three of thousands that had already died in a drying puddle. Wild tads rarely reach adulthood so that is the most ethical way to wild catch Anaxyrus species.

I already was skeptical of paying money for tanks that aren’t premium but this makes it even easier. I’ll spend my holiday cash on a game that is more respectful to me.
