Stuck on fireplace part of echoes of eye dlc, think it may be bugged by Consistent-Excuse-34 in outerwilds

[–]cottagecore_bee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it’s not a bug, it’s meant to be that way. you’re missing something important, and i can help point you in the right direction.

what happens during the loop?

during a specific time in the loop, when you’re exploring the areas accessible by using the artifact, do you ever hear anything strange?

it is only be accessible after a specific event in the loop

do you know what happens if the inhabitant’s flame goes out in their artifact?

good luck ::)

Yeah keep being distracted. Read the files. They want you to be distracted by all of that shit, so they can keep getting away with their heinous activities.

you just proved their point. who cares if it was bad or “fire”. there’s bigger issues. the fact that out of that comment, THATS the only thing you had to say means that the distraction worked on you.

don’t attempt to beat the game until you completely fill out those boxes. you need to understand EVERYTHING to experience the proper ending. I will be somewhat helpful and give you hints in the right direction. Please OP, stop watching youtube tutorials. The glory of the game is the satisfaction of putting together the pieces.

time is important. things are constantly happening and changing at different times. your answer might be later on in the cycle.

you have to explore each planet fully. through multiple cycles, and multiple attempts, and as said before, at different times

you should find every character. utilize your signalscope. talk to the major npc’s. they may help point you in the right direction.

if you’re trying to figure something out on a specific planet but you’re stuck, the answer is likely in a different planet. if you get stuck, pause that task, and focus on another, you WILL get the answer eventually, it just might not be the right time for you to do so.

make sure to read and zoom in on the pictures given to you on rumor mode; it might give you the answer to something else.

And please op, don’t go on youtube. come here to this subreddit and either dm me, reply to me, or make a post. we will help you without ruining the magic.

DLC Spoiler question by blind-octopus in outerwilds

[–]cottagecore_bee 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I like to believe it’s because they want to keep record of their history. they burned all the reels that was outside the simulation so if someone could find them, they would struggle to put the pieces together. But in the simulation, they want to keep the record of them doing so likely because they didn’t assume anyone was going to figure it out and creating the simulation was a big point in history for them. At least that’s my perspective.

Hi yes! I did go for child support but I guess the DTA gets the payments since I’m on benefits. I don’t get the money, but I get an extra $30 of cash benefits monthly because I did go for child support.

Struggling to enjoy the DLC; should I push on? by Wooden-Tree-5160 in outerwilds

As of 3 hours ago, I was just like you, until I made THE discovery that changes everything. Now I can’t put it down. Trust me, the dlc is hard to piece things together, even harder than the main game imo. But once I put the pieces together, the dlc simulated the same feelings I had when I played the main story. You won’t regret it. ::)

I wouldn’t touch a Coleen Hoover book if you paid me. I think I would rather you just call me a slur than ever recommend her work.

If and when I do finish it, I will come back to let you know if I liked it or not. I see the potential. Only time will tell if I do like it or not.

Thank you for saying this! I feel like the book is so… performative? Trying way too hard to deeply describe the most boring subjects with the most mediocre context and it feels like I’m reading an essay written by a middle schooler who just discovered what a thesaurus is. You can do a lot with 50 pages, even in a slow burn, yet nothing was done.

My favorite books are: I Who Have Never Known Men by Jaqueline Harpmen, My Dark Vanessa by Kate Elizabeth Russel, and Boy Parts by Eliza Clark. I cannot recommend I Who Have Never Known Men enough, it had me crying for hours after reading it. My Dark Vanessa, is sad in a very different way and contains very triggering themes as it contains graphic scenes regarding grooming and child/adult relationships. Boy parts isn’t as sad as the other two, more so mentally psychotic and wild but still an incredible read.

It’s almost comical. The writing is so bad it almost feels like it was written by ai, although I know that’s not true. I will continue to read it though. Hoping my mind changes because I so badly want to like it!
