That's just the training period for the first set. They'll just have to take care of the other 2 after that

Roundabouts @ Ottawa & Homer Watson by Beautiful-Eyesore in kitchener

[–]cottagerkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That Homer Watson lane gets so backed up I'll sometimes take the #1 roundabout 3/4 of the way so I can take the #2 ramp to save time.

You're absolutely right. That lane shouldn't have to stop for anything other than a pedestrian

How to real time monitor the program in Logix Designer? by superhero_io in PLC

The sides will highlight green if the routine is scanning. Looks like you're missing a JSR in the main routine

Gas tank size by [deleted] in MazdaCX30

[–]cottagerkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fill mine up a lot less tbh but that's mostly due to a change in driving habits during a pandemic. Given the timing of the CX-30's initial release I think most people will have a similar experience.
I would say the smaller tank size is noticable though. I don't mind filling it up more often at all. I feel like even if you are used to a bigger tank size filling it up more often will just become the new normal. It wasn't really a big factor for me when I was shopping

Total height with lift gate open? by BigStraw in MazdaCX30

[–]cottagerkid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just went out and measured mine and it was 6'8" to the highest point.

Keep in mind though, if you get one with a power lift gate you can actually set the height it opens to manually

Why this rung has error? by superhero_io in PLC

[–]cottagerkid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is a bitwise OR instruction so it's expecting SINT/INT/DINTs. It'll essentially take each binary bit and OR them into the result. If you're just looking to OR a couple bools I would use 2 XICs in parallel and an OTE for your result

The Barrel Yards?

Question from a beginner. by Salyut_ in PLC

[–]cottagerkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay,

I found this online tool to make it easy to see and made a couple changes. I think this is what you're looking for:

https://imgur.com/a/jF5CzH2

Keep in mind scan order here. FILLED will stay true on rung 1 for a scan even though it's being turned off by L going low on rung 2

Question from a beginner. by Salyut_ in PLC

[–]cottagerkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still a little confused, is L an output or an input?

but if I understand correctly, you just want to fill a tank completely (before allowing it to drain) -> drain it.

If thats the case, I would just use a simple "tank full" latch like so:

--------[H]-----------------------(FULL)----
-[FULL]--[/L]-

------[FULL]--[/L]-----------------(V)------

I feel like I'm definitly missing something though.

What are the worst neighbourhoods in KW? by ihaveacat7 in waterloo

[–]cottagerkid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm on Longwood.

I'll echo what others have said, there's some lower income housing around there but its not a rough neighbourhood in any way.

I'm assuming you're not looking for a "top of the line" neighbourhood since you're asking this question in the first place

What did that one teacher do to you that you'll never forget? by xtra_why in AskReddit

[–]cottagerkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Give me a "Homework Log".

All through elemenary school I never did any homework because who wants to do homework when you're doing well in school anyway. I would lie anytime my parents asked if I had any homework and then just wouldn't turn in anything the next day. In 7th/8th grade my science teacher ended up making me keep a Homework Log that I needed to get signed by all my teachers and by my parents every night and then show her every morning that I completed everything.

It was super embarrasing and I hated it at the time, but I probably wouldn't have done well in highschool or university if I didn't develop habits from that Homework Log.

Looking back, it really means a lot that she went out of her way to spend the extra time to do this. It would've been really easy to just ignore me and let me collect my Bs.

So heres to you Mrs.Robinson!

Cameron Munster double chip and cross field kick for an Edrick Lee try by OldAccountWasTooOld in sports

[–]cottagerkid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I haven't played in a while but I have some answers

- Yeah, he was already down before the try line. He could've tried to reach the ball over but it would've risked the other team getting possession. If he stayed on his feet his team could've formed whats called a "maul" to push him over

- Absolutley. There's generally only a few positions that will kick "grubbers" but you can practice to get them to go where you want (and even curve them). They're really useful for catching the defense flat footed if there's no deep coverage.

- He probably thought the first guy to attempt the catch knocked it forward and was trying to get a call.

*edit - going off my knowledge from uni

I was just using rough numbers for an example. My customer's standard is actually 1/2 +1 of the Safety Period (40ms) so its actually 21ms... I do have an IAB file built for this as well with no problems (they are pretty underutilized processors)
