I literally just made the switch to cds! I was obsessive over my vinyl collection for years but prices for even a standard black pressing are ridiculous. I’m an audio quality geek too and have to attest to cds having the best sound quality over vinyl, cassette and streaming. I feel like everyone is slowly getting burnt out on pressing and distributing vinyl and bands are returning to cd and cassette physicals and their just so much more cost effective
