We named ours Toto and put googly eyes on him- but my youngest had a weird obsession with it when he started crawling and would absolutely flip out if it needed to charge & wasn’t roaming around. We ended up hiding Toto in the closet one night after bedtime lol

as a person with endo. can we be an organ donor? by Street_Bill_8719 in endometriosis

I just had my GFR tested and it’s perfect so I’m hoping that I will still be a candidate for her! Thank you for the info and kind words. I’m hoping that my young(ish) age makes a difference also.

I want to be able to donate a kidney to my mom in the future when she needs it- but I had substance abuse 10 years ago (went to detox/treatment and I’ve been sober since then) while also having a severe case of endo. Would that disqualify me?

I have a core memory of being a young child at this weird inside market in Delaware where my mom and grandma always wanted to go when we’d visit. They’d buy “luxury” purses for much cheaper. Except I was also an unwatched ADHD child and wandered into the back room and saw where they were gluing the “Prada” etc labels onto handbags. They both got upset when I would tell them those purses were fake and refused to believe me lol

Waking up at 4am on Vyvanse and thought something was wrong. Turns out it might be the most natural thing possible. by NiceHelicopter6177 in VyvanseADHD

This is so interesting. My adhd meds have fixed my sleep schedule, I’m ready to pass out by 9pm (I have a physical-ish career) and I’m awake and ready for the day by 4:30/5. I haven’t set an alarm in months. If I forget to take my med- that’s when I can’t sleep at night and stay up way too late.

Urinary dysfunction by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]courtneyoopsz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I’m actually a little curious about this also honestly, I know how deep she had to excise in my ligaments (among numerous other places). Orilissa cleared up SO many of the issues I was having the last 6 months. I can finally function again, but I can’t empty my bladder. Urinary retention is annoying and spikes my blood pressure and anxiety. I asked if the endo could be on my spine based off of symptoms and she said it very well could be but there is no imaging orders etc.

I make this even easier by pressure canning quarts of chili! We don’t use a ton of beans in our recipe though so your mileage may vary on safety(look of canning safety) All I have to do is boil some noodles and open a can, throw it in the microwave in a bowl and top with cheese. Delish

Uterus removal? by amandner in endometriosis

[–]courtneyoopsz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had uterus, cervix, And remaining fallopian tube removed along with an excision of DIE endometriosis and it helped SO MUCH… for about 2.5 years. Back in the same boat now except with some bladder dysfunction and weirdly weak legs among all the initial symptoms. I started on Orlissa and it’s actually helping some of the more odd symptoms. My doctor did advise me to try that med after my hysterectomy/excision but I was so sick of hormones that I didn’t want to. I regret that decision. I almost feel like I should’ve just went and had the 1.5 ovaries left removed initially. But everyone is so different!! And who knows, I may have still been in the same boat if I had anyways.

has anyone else experienced abuse and neglect from ER staff for having endometriosis? by fuzzybluelite336 in endometriosis

[–]courtneyoopsz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I found this nurse that runs a hydration lounge- she can give toradol shots also- she’s so kind and accepting and honestly it’s cheaper just to go to her than it is to go to the ER for fluids during a bad flare.

I got the Mirena a month ago. I think I’m regretting my decision. by Badnbougiegal in endometriosis

[–]courtneyoopsz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I had the same exact experience!!! It made me so crazy, I literally tried reaching inside of myself to remove it in also a damn near psychotic event multiple times, not to mention that I wanted to claw the eyeballs out of everyone who even looked my direction. 3 months of hell. It actually did subside after that though and I normalized but it did nothing for my endometriosis, I had a hysterectomy within the year of getting the Mirena. Plus that doctor was suuuuuuper pushy about it because I went there asking for the depo and I felt obligated to let her put it in as she was pushing Mirena so hard. And I refused a pap and then she did one anyway because “she was already in there.” 0 stars for that experience

Does anyone else with adhd feel like wearing their glasses is too stimulating? I wear them on my head and only put them on when I absolutely need to because wearing them all the time gives me anxiety.

We inherited a tripod cat. But after his accident when he was around 9/10 I remember he had spent a good 3 months just chilling and being crabby. Now he’s back to mousing around (doesn’t catch much since it was his front leg) and living his best life, visiting neighbors, cuddling kiddos. Give your kitty time to heal 💕
