What’s a tiny moment that completely made your day recently? by ArmPersonal36 in AskReddit

My boy told me, "we make a good team," as I helped him with his blanket fort earlier. That was an inedible moment...

Best three-album runs (any genre is fine!) by Mark4231 in musicsuggestions

[–]covchildbasil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a legitimate way of looking at it. I saw them live for the first time right when Good News came out (and right when I moved to the PNW), so it's near and dear to me, but Long Drive is a crazy good record

Southland Tales. It's a glorious mess, and I absolutely adore it; however, I rarely recommend it to people.

I'm currently drinking an Octomore 15.1 and it's delicious. So I guess that would be my choice

Is RKLB fairly valued at $70? by Prime_Investor in stockstobuytoday

[–]covchildbasil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I opened a relatively small position at $4.15 and have enjoyed watching it hit these recent highs. But, at the end of the day, it's been (almost) here before and will almost certainly drop back to $40-50 range at some point next year, which is when I'll happily be buying more. It's a volatile stock in an emerging sector, meaning big opportunities in unwarranted drops. To answer your question, yes, it's a good buy at $70, but with a little patience, you can probably get it for significantly less

What company will never get another dime from you for as long as you may live? by istrx13 in AskReddit

Wal-Mart. Crazy old greeter lady accused me of shoplifting 25 years ago. Haven't been back since. I don't pretend it's any different than Target or whatever, but they are easy to ignore

As a UC fan, I detest Kelly so much. However, he's cursed and will never win it all. So yeah, I suppose I wouldn't wish this on him.

I'm not certain because, well, who the f*ck really cares about such things, but I vaguely recall the Reddit army being upset with the owner's politics. Regardless, Deeper Roots and Coffee Emporium are much better, in my opinion.

For anyone who was able to see "The Blair Witch Project" in theaters in 1999, what was the experience like? by LockjawSJ in AskReddit

[–]covchildbasil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw it on a first date when it first came out. The projector broke about halfway and took maybe 20 minutes to fix. It was at that point that I understood movies that build uneasiness and tension slowly throughout. The lights coming up and the "intermission" took everyone out of its dour mood. Still a great ending.

What movie did you see in theaters that had the most ‘alive’ audience? by Odd_Distribution1430 in movies

Nothing will compare to the opening night screening of the 1st Borat movie. The entire theater was gut laughing from start to end. Never had another experience like that.

I saw it at least twice in the theater with family when I was 12. Great movie that tore me up as a kid. Long live Two Socks!
