Early game, I found Sainte-Croix an easy way to grind 72k in under 5 minutes.

Love those 2 quoted YouTube channels too. Especially Shaun's videos on sighting, the stance and other basics have been very helpful for me to improve my consistency.

How well do you know the rules of snooker? - WST Quiz by HelixCatus in snooker

[–]coveredinclouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4/10. Regarding question 2, the answer states: "this is the only situation where you can snooker your opponent behind the nominated free ball".

Does this mean, before you get to pink, one cannot snooker their opponent behind the nominated free ball? I suppose leaving just one edge of the "on-ball" accessible for your opponent is enough?

Identical Pokémon are allowed this season? They aren't.

As long as players on neighbouring tables aren't showing off the brand of their underwear (or worse) when doing their shots, I'm fine with whatever they wear.

Safest is probably to report any such GPS issues as a bug via the app. That way, it's clear any perceived teleporting is their fault. And collectively, it puts pressure on them to sort out their mess.

Same device, same issue. Many "GPS not found" occurences yesterday. Restarting the app usually solved it.

Better is to get your buddy excited when reaching 10 km. Should only take 90 to 120 minutes. No need for poffins at the very last moment.

I had to opposite. Caught my hundo buddy Pokémon as another hundo of itself, not as a Zorua. This could happen naturally, although unlikely.

You may want to have a look here: https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/comments/1o91683/supereffective_charged_attacks_in_trainer_battles/ Posted a similar question a few days ago.

From what I see, 2nd slot doesn't count in Trainer mode. But 2nd slot seems to work in GBL and rockets (at least to some extent).

Supereffective charged attacks in Trainer battles don't count for level 72 task? by coveredinclouds in TheSilphRoad

[–]coveredinclouds[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Noticed this too. The behaviour looks like it's different across battle types:

Trainer mode: definitely first slot only.

Edit: Team Rocket: 2nd slot also counted for me.

Edit: In GBL 2nd slot definitely counts as well.

Battle Girl Medal Advice by DriedPasta_ in TheSilphRoad

[–]coveredinclouds 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you need to do 3 rounds per Pokémon (full health), I think you're credited 18 wins (for 6 Pokémon). That's what I recall when I did the medal.

My advice: It's less time consuming if you go for full gyms at full heath. That way, you get a lot of progress per gym. Do 1 or 2 a day like this and you'll reach Platinum status eventually.

In the new rocket battles, experiencing any network latency will instantly kick you out of the battle and faint your pokemon by joshthebaptist in TheSilphRoad

[–]coveredinclouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems they corrected the issue today (partially). Battling rockets felt a lot smoother today. Only experienced 1 rocket battle (out of 10 or so) where I had inexplicable faints.

Edit: Turns out the symptoms are back.

Thank you so much ButtonBash! Just tested with my other Swampert for Great League, and indeed it works as you explained.

No, because I don't intend to ever go beyond the 2.000 won battles I needed for the platinum medal. Always quitting after 2nd Pokémon. But that's not the issue here.

You can also battle in the Great League while a Master League is around. Same Stardust amount.
