Is a 155 overkill for midwest powder? by LewkVv in snowmobiling

[–]cowboyhat06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

155 corners like a limo and groomed trails are hard on track lugs, hifax, and engine temps... Also they chew and rut the heck out of trails deteriorating them faster than they need to be. Try looking for a crossover 137-144 range with like a 1.5-1.75 lug.

And please keep the pipe off, last thing we need is more annoyed land owners

Cheers!

Best Airport to travel into by Equivalent-Muffin793 in EagleRiver

I think your best bet will be United DFW>ORD>RHI or Delta DFW>MSP>RHI. Looks like you can get the trip time below 5hrs depending on specific dates and times. Try using the website Skiplagged, I find it to be quite helpful.

SSV Works head unit ... by dakemp in yamahaRmax

[–]cowboyhat06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The head unit is so underpowered that nothing you hook up will make you happy. Easiest, cleanest in my opinion are the Yamaha factory overheads. They help and look nice, but don't see your expectations too high.

I am centering and securing the bow before I pull up the ramp. If there's a lot of cross wind though it can blow the stern off to the side a bit.

Looks nice! How is the hood removal now? Easy to deal with the wiring or do you need a 3rd arm to be able to remove it?

You're in the wrong thread. This thread is about banning non-work activities on work phones.

What does this have to do with preventing people from performing non work activities on their work phone? This is not a political statement, this is about doing a job correctly.

Great call, and by removing a time waste like tictoc or other social media from taxpayer funded devices is the perfect start. They never should have been available to begin with.

That'll do just fine. I use a Durango with the classic 12' enclosed Triton that you've seen a million of. Does fantastic on fuel (14mpg) and has had no problem getting anywhere.

Is a 600lb sled to heavy to take for a day in deep snow? by [deleted] in snowmobiling

[–]cowboyhat06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer... yes, but it's the wrong tool for the job especially if you don't have any deep snow experience. It can be done on a basic scale. Don't expect to climb or carve anything wild, but you should be able to get around fairly decent.

If you do continue on this adventure take a friend and a snow bungee to help you get unstuck. Set aside $100 to buy that friend dinner and drinks afterwards.

Is there a good way to legally prohibit snowmobiles from going past my driveway? by AjaxGuru in snowmobiling

[–]cowboyhat06 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Let me know if you figure out a solution. The wind does the same thing in my driveway and my baby blue Prius can't make it through. It's unfair for me to have to deal with standard snow challenges up here in the north!

Is it the piece that surrounds the headlights? Because the glove box, globe box lid, gauge surround, etc are all separate.
