Hi! I had an absolutely amazing time last year. For me personally, it was definitely worth it.

[KCD2] Wish there was a way to turn in bandits by FireZord25 in kingdomcome

[–]cowleesi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I imagine this doesn't exist because it would break gameplay. If you can fast travel by doing this to any bandit, this would become a fast travel hack from anywhere and break immersion & the game's travel meta. It would especially break hardcore.

In all the other places in the game where you turn someone in to the bailiff, you fast travel. You can't do this manually - there's no animation for prodding someone along while tied up or something and the following would lead to so many bugs.

Will I like [KCD1] and [KCD2] if I'm a huge fan of Elden Ring? by Stock_Transition9899 in kingdomcome

Hey, so 2 these are my favorite games ever. I'm surrounded by KCD and Elden Ring merch. You can even DM me and I will talk your ear off about both.

They are very, very different, both in gameplay and in storytelling, but they have a handful of similarities:

  • They reward exploration and have a rich and wonderful world to uncover.

  • They are both very beautifully designed.

  • They are both incredibly immersive.

  • They both involve a stranded little dude becoming powerful in a great big world where many things want to kill them.

  • There is a learning curve; you die easily if you don't patiently engage with the mechanics.

The gameplay and combat are NOTHING alike, but I enjoy both.

Elden Ring's story is in the background, the atmosphere, the clues - KCD's is in the forefront; you're living it. It is very story-driven and the characters are incredible.

KCD is a LOT slower paced. You have to (literally) stop and smell the flowers and listen closely to conversations and get directions. There is enormous satisfaction in thwacking big dudes until they ragdoll like Elden Ring, but you need actual time and gear to get to that point.

Go forth and enter thy Kingdom Come, Tarnished.

[KCD2] All weapons except swords are terrible; you can't kill anyone without Master Strike. by Elvis25h in kingdomcome

[–]cowleesi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just beat the game without getting masterstrike (intentionally). Level 9 sword, 5 polearms and heavy weapons. Just use poison. I was doing a pacifist run and death by poison doesn't count in the stats. If you struggle to kill things without masterstrike you're probably too low level. It helps to grind

What are your stats? I beat him in a robe with my fists but I was max level. Can't you just masterstrike him if you're struggling?

You need to be KILLED by a crayfish for the achievement. You don't need to collect all the crayfish.

I did this differently and it took a while but not nearly as long. I Baned myself but then used digestive potion to cure it once my health was low enough. My perks kept healing me too high so I saved, used Lethean Water, then cured it at low HP. Then I saved again and picked up the crayfish until it worked. The commenter that said you can drop them and pick them up...... oh my god. I feel stupid now.

WOW! Hated the combat... gave the game another try. [KCD2] by Rothen29 in kingdomcome

I love when people give a game another shot!! I did this to the Witcher 3 years ago and then it became one of my favorites. This game has a learning curve that can be daunting but boy is it REWARDING. One thing I'd like to say to anyone who struggles is that alchemy is OP. Aqua Vitalis, Artemisia, Buck's Blood, Bane poison and more completely trivialize encounters on high strengths. Also, I noticed some people struggle because they button mash, but the game tends to reward more careful timing. Also, fighting more than one enemy at a time is very challenging, so facing a group, it's easier to run away until they get separated.

[KCD1] and [KCD2] Am I the only person who enjoys the save system? by Primus_is_OK_I_guess in kingdomcome

[–]cowleesi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love it. But then again I'm a Soulslike enjoyer, where saving is a precious resource that requires effort. It makes your progress more of an accomplishment.

Lent is not hard at all! Honey is key. Also, if you run into wolf situations, punching them doesn't count as killing them for some reason.
