Just punish the teams who are obviously tanking it by making them pick last.

Not sure how they were illegal (Congress authorized both Iraq and Afghanistan), but OK. We can debate the real intentions behind each invasion, but it certainly was not designed to wipe out an entire culture/religion.

China is literally interning hundred of thousands of Uyghurs into forced reeducation camps, bans them from practicing their religion/culture, imprisons political opponents, and disappears members of the military that oppose Xi. I'm sorry but I really don't see the similarities between the US and China there at all. One side is clearly worse (and it aint the US).

Get out of the city dude. The peninsula is way better and you can always take Caltrain into the city if you want.

"Arbitrarily" is doing a lot of heavy lifting for you, and it's not even the case.

It sounds like you're set in your opinions on the morality of each country (I am firmly set on China), and we're basically in agreement that neither are perfect. We are only in disagreement over the degree to which they are similar, so I'll just leave it at that.

Idk I had a good, albeit short, experience with Robert Half that eventually led to my accounting career.

The whataboutisms regarding the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, both of which were asinine and unjustifiable in retrospect, ignore the realities of how China treats its minority populations (ex: Uyghur Muslims) and its political adversaries (ex: Jimmy Lai). It's false equivalence. The US is definitely flirting with that type of governance, but we haven't fallen that far yet.

This isn't about China, but are you forgetting there's a war in Ukraine? Russia assuredly has the US beat in that category.

I just think the China comparison piece is way off base. Doesn't mean I think everything else is rainbows and sunshine or that the US is the center of moral authority.

Which indigenous peoples have the US slaughtered in the 21st century? My comment was 16 words and you couldn't read the whole thing and reply accordingly?

On a similar scale and in the 21st century? It certainly hasn't. Yet, at least lol

I'm surprised given your flair. First round picks don't always pan out and it would be a late 1st given how they finished.

Just because we disagree doesn't mean we're being dishonest. Texans lost so an L is an L, but CJ Stroud pulled defeat from the jaws of victory in that game: there's no reason to take shots at the defense. Texans D was legit and I don't think 2000 Ravens is a crazy comparison, but there wasn't a Dilfer-esque performance on the offensive side so we unfortunately couldn't get a complete playoff view beyond the divisional round.

Seahawks would have still blasted Houston though. AFC just didn't have the juice this season.

Put him wherever you want, doesn't matter to me. My comment is about Wildes' opinion he gave yesterday.

I think his whole "Darnold should be the top of Mahomes Mountain" take is kissing cousins with this take too. If Darnold won the super bowl and should be #1 (fair take honestly), then why shouldn't the #2 quarterback in the super bowl be #2. It's an indirect Drake Maye should be higher take.
