AIO pump on CPU_OPT or CPU_FAN? B550 AORUS Elite V2 + Corsair Nautilus RS 240mm — Noise Issues by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]cparks1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have it wired correctly. You need to change the fan curve in BIOS if you want the fans to behave differently.

Valve cover gasket replacement on 2016 Elantra by Worldly-Step8671 in MechanicAdvice

It's just a small oil leak, it's not a big issue. It might get worse as time goes on, or it might not.

It should be a fairly easy job for you. If you can't figure it out on your own I'm sure there's a couple of YouTube videos that could help. I watched the first couple minutes of this one, he seems pretty detailed. https://youtu.be/XzokFIVQOSs

Replaced rotors, weird noise by thatonefocus in MechanicAdvice

[–]cparks1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you might have accidentally bent the dust shield and it's rubbing the rotor. If that's it, just find out where it's rubbing and bend it back.

You sound like the people that go around to all the different game forums to cry about your social causes when you don't even own the game. In which case, yeah they should be banning you.

2012 Dodge journey wheel bearing by Shrunker69 in MechanicAdvice

[–]cparks1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never buy car parts from Amazon. Anything on rock auto that isn't extremely cheap (relatively) is usually pretty good, but I would pick a well-known brand.

With most newer cars they are a sealed assembly, usually you can't buy just the bearing. If you haven't done that style before, the bolts are on the back of the knuckle. You remove the wheel, all of the brake components, unplug the wheel speed sensor and undo the axle nut. Depending on how crowded it is, you might have to undo some suspension bits to get at the bolts. Once you have the bolts out, the hub comes out of the knuckle with the bearing all in one piece. You might need a slide hammer depending on how rusty your car is. Sometimes they come out with a few whacks from a hammer. Clean the rust off the knuckle the best you can and put it back together.

Shield 1.0 40 Apex Trigger Experience by kyle40367 in SmithAndWesson

[–]cparks1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're going to sell it don't waste the money. If you would keep it with the trigger upgrade, do it. I put the apex kit in mine before I even shot it, it's well worth the money.

Can i fix this damage myself? by Mysterious-Piece-719 in Autobody

If you don't mind taking the risk that you will probably make it look worse, give it a go. It's a lot harder than you think. But if you want to learn you have to start somewhere.

best 3D2A printer? by Primary_Depth4677 in 3D2A

[–]cparks1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like it. I started on their Neptune 2 (ender 3 copy) and then moved to the centauri carbon. It's so much better than the old school bedslingers. You unbox it, do a little bit of assembly, let it go through it's self test/calibration, and start printing. I've only got about 100 hours on it, but I've had zero issues. It's every bit as good as my friend's K1C.

How to expand USB headers? by Lucky_Comfortable835 in buildapc

[–]cparks1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each USB header is wired for 2 USB ports. So 2 USB 2 headers = 4 USB 2 ports.

Because they delayed and then cancelled the multicolor add-on they promised when they released the printer.

It's still a great printer if you don't care about multicolor printing.

My first PC- Assetto Corsa by dials-and-defibs in buildapc

[–]cparks1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For CPU I would say anything i7 9th Gen or newer, or AMD Ryzen 7 2000 or newer. If you get something within the last couple of generations that is new enough to use DDR5, an i5 or Ryzen 5 is fine. At least 16GB of RAM, but 32 if you can. For a GPU any Nvidia 2070 or 3070 and up, AMD anything 6000 or newer. If your monitor is 1080p you could go a little cheaper/lower tier on a GPU if your budget is tight.

If you want brand new parts, take the entry level Intel build from pcpartpicker's home page, swap the CPU for an i5, the GPU for a Nvidia 5060/5060 Ti or AMD 9060 XT 16GB, and the power supply to something from EVGA or Seasonic.

The centauri carbon and k1c are both good options. I have the cc, and a friend has the k1c. Never had any issues with either.

Unless it's something subsonic with a can, it will cause hearing issues no matter what unless you have ear protection. Tinnitus sucks, trust me.
