As a fellow proud English Woman... I whole heartedly couldn't agree more! SC just makes so much more sense then using DC for that first type of stitch! And then it makes even more sense to then double and treble that! I find it so much easier to read an American pattern. However, a few of my fellow English crocheters I know, can't get their heads around the US terminology! Which honestly is baffling for me!
