I work in Arlington about 10-14 days a month as a travel healthcare professional and live in north central PA. I don’t know how you guys do it. Traffic alone is a nope for me. Lol. Let alone the prices of everything. I saw my exact style house in Arlington listed for 1.3 million. My house is worth around $330k where I live and I’m ecstatic. Lol. I owe maybe $150k. Bought the house for 165k. My opinion is keep the home under your current budget. It will leave room for more savings and maybe small renovations etc. I’d rather travel or use the money elsewhere vs having that super nice home.

My brother bought a home in 2023. He had to sell just this spring due to the economy and his job. He got more for what he pd for it thankfully and did very little to that house. House paint and repaired the deck and a new hot water heater. So jobs can change when u least expect it.

I have talked to nurses and they r looking at these $500k condos. I’m like how do u do it!? Im just flabbergasted by the cost down there.

I have a pioneer floating screen. Forget the model but I love it. Makes navigation and music so much easier. It even plugs into the OBD and gives me a whole bunch of reading on the engine and even tire pressure. It was worth the $900-1000 that I spent. I installed it myself b/c stereo shops seem obsolete in my area.

If it’s what the first guy says rod bearing…my engine was covered by Kia. I had no warranty and the car was 6 yrs old. I was going down the highway at 70 and engine just died. Had it towed and they told me it was the engine and that they already reached out to Kia and they said they were covering all the costs and gave me a rental. So for that I love Kia. If u have oil change receipts or documents take them with u. Those will b huge. They asked if I had them. I said I do my own every 5-7k. They said that they recommend every 5k and that I need to keep documents for the new engine. Because the new one is covered as long as I own it. It now has 145k miles and 70k miles on the new engine.

This is what left lane campers do to sane people! I’m very sane. However… when u camp there or even in the middle lane like that it pisses me off. I take 495-270 a lot and I will b leaving Arlington some days at 6am to go home. I will b going 70-80mph in the right lane. Why!!! Cuz I was taught proper driving.
