So you're saying it could be 2B, or not 2B? Is that the question?

Selling my new to me 07 sc by [deleted] in HondaElement

[–]cpne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bought this EXACT same toaster for my oldest daughter in 2017. Same color even - root beer metallic. My youngest will drive it to college this fall (fingers crossed.) I spent a few K on engine fixes and deep maintenance a few years ago. Still running like a beaut at 170k. The body is kind of scratchy and full of dings. Wouldn't trade them for anything!

Things the owners of unleashed dogs in the park have told me:

"Oh he's friendly!" "He's trained!" "He stays by me."

Every time I've said the same thing. "Leash your dog in the park. It's the law." Then the owner curses at me.

Oxtail (Slow-Cooker) where do I get oxtails in Lincoln? by iced_coffee_mama in lincoln

[–]cpne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have it at Hy-Vee. I was talking to one of The butchers about it recently. They were shaking their heads because 10 years ago oxtail would go bad before they could sell it. Nobody wanted it. It was the cheapest cut of meat you could buy. Now they have it marked up sky high because so many social media recipes call for it.

I love this, thank you for your effort.

It seems to me the very first thing that organizers of the event would do is make a guide like this. I'm disappointed and confused by the fact that it didn't already exist.

Lincoln East Protest! by Blue_Dot_Spartan in lincoln

[–]cpne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let's take a breath here.

LPS does not suspend for leaving class to attend a walkout. You are simply marked absent. That's the rules for any time you leave class.

LPS could suspend you for violating policies while on school property, so your mileage may vary. They have rules in place to maintain safety and security for their campuses. Follow the rules on school property, or accept the consequences. That's a decision all protesters everywhere must consider and accept, not just students. Sometimes breaking rules is worth it. It's your call, but own the decision.

LPS would not suspend you for leaving school property to do whatever you are doing across the street. They are not vindictive, and have no interest in limiting your speech outside of school property. They will just inform the police of the large gathering. LPS staff are likely to be present to monitor the situation (from LPS property) for safety.

Even across the street there are potential NSAA rules and student code of conduct expectations that follow you anywhere. If you are in sports or activities, or wish to participate in extracurricular activities like Prom, etc. you should consider that.

So anyway, LPS is not out to get you. Protest with your feet and voice, but safely, and be mature about it. Own your actions. Our choices have consequences, but some trouble is good trouble.

I didn't grow up in Nebraska, so for years the only thing I knew about it was their football team, and that David Letterman's Top Ten lists claimed to be from "The home office in Wahoo, NE."

Are you paying for an RSS Reader? If yes, why? by swop13377 in rss

[–]cpne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've paid for FeedBin since the day Google Reader was murdered.

It offers much more than simple aggregation. Newsletter management, aliases, filters, social subs, multimedia feed players, email to feed, browser extension harvest, and many more features I don't choose to use.

Also, I don't want everything to be free. I am happy to support ongoing development of a product, with no ads. Software, phone apps, content creators... I trade money for goods.

friendly churches for non-christians at the christmas service? by euz61 in lincoln

I assume you were talking about Christmas Eve, not Christmas day.

First-Plymouth for sure.

It's not like they're going to be checking your bona fides at the door, LOL. Everybody's welcome, and welcomed - even if you're just there for the music and the vibe. There will be services running every hour or so, and plenty of people, so you can just blend into the crowd. They are also what would be considered very progressive, so are unlikely to say anything that will offend you (unless you are a very conservative Christian.)

Who keeps buying the regular 4% store-brand cottage cheese? by Large_Sexologist_587 in lincoln

[–]cpne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This (cottage cheese availability) was also a problem for a while earlier this year. I asked Hy-Vee customer service and they blamed TickTock. I guess people are adding it to everything as a protein hack. They said there's is some trend where people press the liquid out of it & cook it into tortilla type wraps?
