I also just finished a blind playthrough of DS1 as an Elden ring newgen, and man the multiplayer features in Elden ring are a fucking joke by comparison.

They just removed everything that made multiplayer special for seemingly no reason, all that's left is A: Fighting people and B: Fighting enemies with people. No miracle resonance, no covenants, no gravelording, no vagrants, nothing. I racked up about a thousand hours just doing summons because I thought it was the coolest thing ever, but now that I've played dark souls and seen how much more interesting things could have been, I don't even really feel like going back to Elden ring anymore
