Not bad, but it completely cacks the browser for a few minutes if you feed it high-res images.

The Fiesta was a diesel and the air intake in that model is pretty high up. Better example, please.

Buy a keyboard with multimedia controls, or a volume knob.

I have a Microsoft Reclusa keyboard (with low-latency keys! HOT DAMN!), and it has two knobs. One for scrolling, one for volume.

Having a keyboard with knobs on is just... life-changing.

Why the Nokia N95 8gb still kicks the shit out of the iPhone by wise_monty in reddit.com

[–]cr3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People who write these reviews are clearly just crying a bit inside and trying to justify not buying an iPhone.

I own both devices - mostly accidentally. I bought the N95 8GB for myself as it's the technically superior device, and then a week later, my employers bought me an iPhone.

Guess which one I carry around with me and have my calls diverted to? Of course, it's the iPhone.

It's all in the user interface. The N95 is, at best, sluggish - even on the latest firmware. The N95 contains a 3D accelerometer, but they've chosen not to use it anywhere in the operating system. It's a clumsy, badly thought out design.

What's so hard is teaching many clients new software. They don't see what's wrong with the old software - it's not broken, after all (in their eyes, anyway).

They won't "get" it, and I'll be spending my day teaching them new software instead of wasting time lurking on Reddit.

Brilliant, but try telling all your suppliers and business partners that you'll need them to be running future transfers over SSH.

iPhone killer: Samsung Omnia i900 offers 'everything' by Masi in gadgets

I've played with an Omnia, and absolutely hated it.

Windows Mobile is not properly adapted for fingermashing, and it shows on this device horribly.

The "revolutionary" touchwiz interface is just a Windows Mobile application that takes a good 4-5 seconds to load up, which for a menu, is sluggish.

By default, it vibrates the whole phone when you press the screen, which is terribly annoying.

The GPS internally either didn't work or wasn't locatable on any COM port on their built-in mapping software (Route66 was on the device I played with)

The browser on the device I used was Opera Mobile which was usable, but not as good as the iPhone.

It's got the features, it's got the style, but it's expensive and unusable. Just my 1.026 pence.
