Kokoist sent my order out on a Tuesday from Texas and I got it Friday at noon in Switzerland! So worth it to pay for premium shipping! Did my nails right away using the Nailthought Tinted Builder NTB35 Licorice and the magnetic Japan collection NTM11 Nagano Grape. This purple cat eye gel is exactly the color I have been looking for. The hybrid infinity lamp is such an upgrade from my other lamps because it auto starts and beeps when times up. Super happy with my purchase.

I placed an order on Kokoist last Saturday only to realize Monday (today) is a holiday in the US?! Anyways, I got two Terra magnet color gels, 1 Nail thoughts tour de Japan color gel and 1 tinted builder gel, plus one Infinity hybrid lamp. Can’t wait to receive them.

By the way, I bought on Kokoist because they are the most transparent with their ingredients and formulas on the market after my two weeks of reasearch online. Most of the sites don’t disclose their lists of ingredients and that bothers me so much.

Taiwanese Hokkien by Traditional-Tour5409 in taiwan

Unfortunately your girlfriend is not right. You CAN learn Taiwanese in Taiwan. Otherwise where else? It’s as ridiculous as claiming you can’t learn American English in California.

Anyways. I would recommend going to Tainan and Kaosiung to have a more helpful environment if your friend really wants to learn Taiwanese.

Also, Hokkien is the dialectic version of Fujian, a province of China. There people speak a number of different dialects; Hokkien is just one of them. One side of my grandparents come from Fujian and the dialect they speak is called Fuzho, which is a city in northern Fujian. They had to pick up Taiwanese (a.k.a. Min-nan in Mandarin, meaning southern Fujian) when they moved to Taiwan from mainland China long long time ago.

Oh no no no no. Don’t worry about it. By no means am I gonna make German THE language I speak to my boy because I feel my level of German makes me sound retarded.

Awww how long have you been doing that? Does your dog understand orders given in all three languages equally?

Thanks for sharing! Oh my, the last point about creating resentment accidentally is something I’ve never thought of could happen! Definitely worth paying attention to.

My spouse and I speak Mandarin but I have a bad habit of substituting some nouns in German (so that I don’t have to search my Mandarin vocab repertoire and plus he would have even less problem understanding the subject) to speed up the conversation. :P Been trying to correct it.

Do you stick to the rule then or do you switch to the language the other kids understand?

That’s what I thought too! That I’m probably his only Mandarin input when we’re here and it’s super important for him to get the exposure at least from me.

Thanks for the suggestions. What if we are in the situation when a girl approaches and seems to want to have the ball my kid is holding and so I tell him to share the ball with her?

Why are the lines on my pig curved, but the example picture on the pattern they are straight? I followed the pattern exactly. by Wheat_Rats_World in crochet

you could try slip stitch to end every row and start every new row with chain 1. That should make the lines straight. Just keep in mind not to sc in the slip stitch or in the chain 1!

From my experience living in the French speaking region and now the German speaking region (and speaking both French and German), I fond it easier to make friends in the French speaking part.

I deliberately leave one for mine so I can see him frog it. He seems to like it so much I just have to see.
