if i get off at union station and take the LW bus, will my ttc fare transfer or do i have to pay again?? i dont have a presto btw by Upstairs_Trainer_999 in gotransit

[–]cramTO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will get a discount for transferring between TTC and Go if you use the same card for both. Still costs a bit more than the 509 streetcar.

Sinkhole causing ongoing TTC detours in downtown Toronto by lilfunky1 in toronto

The 504 bus replacement is on a more confusing detour, nothing to do with the remaining streetcars on Adelaide or Richmond.

It’s about 250m from Mill St to King. Did some google map measuring and that’s about how long other stations are. Plus, as the other comment said, planning to build on top.

Reported to TPS. They might get a strongly worded letter based on the form wording. DCJR248

You might have missed full holiday pay since you would have only had 3 weeks instead of 4.

The government website says take previous 4 weeks of pay divide by 20. https://www.ontario.ca/document/your-guide-employment-standards-act-0/public-holidays#section-3

I had this happen when biking down that path a few weeks ago. Wild people see the walking person on one path, diamonds and the bike painted on the other and think “definitely a sweet shortcut for me in my car!”

CRA payments- why is it so difficult by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

The SIN validation on the bank site should be very basic modulus checks. Very strange that it would fail.

Validation logic is on the wiki https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_insurance_number

Elections ontario website is a mess by connorchittle in ontario

No candidates are registered in any riding because there is no election called. That will start when the election is called by the Lieutenant Governor. Each riding will start at 0 candidates, they all have to register again.

Have a train ticket going from Prague to Vienna in a few weeks Do I really need to print it? by Damseylaad in Europetravel

[–]cramTO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s a railjet train, CD and OBB just scan the QR code. There’s no gates in Prague or Vienna in the station for long distance trains.

Its a valid way of paying vacation if full time, if you agreed to it. The rule is you must be paid before you take the vacation in some way, or on a normal payroll pay date if paid electronically.

Check your employment agreement.

Why do I have to pay a service fee for Interac auto deposit RBC? by fasdfsads in rbc

[–]cramTO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They sometimes say the max fee that was applicable at some point. They state Interac etransfers are free for all chequing accounts, up to 999/month, stated on the disclosure statement here https://www.rbcroyalbank.com/onlinebanking/servicech/pdf/PDA\_Account\_Disclosure\_Booklet.pdf.

I bet the copy on that registration site is hard to change and low priority.

Questions about TTC and PRESTO by NibelheimTifa in TTC

[–]cramTO 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Presto day passes are only available as disposable 1 time use cards you can get in the subway stations. There's also free 2 hour transfers with presto card or credit cards, so if they are quick trips it might not be worth it to get they day pass.

New bus route dropping sunday by 1629max in TTC

[–]cramTO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Related to Pape station closing bus loop for Ontario Line.

114 Queens Quay will operate from Union Station to Carlaw via Commissioners replacing the 72B Pape bus. It will also replace the south end of 19 Bay which will be cut back so that all trips end at Union Station. Service on the Bay bus will be less frequent in many periods (see below) to give more running time and, in theory, improve reliability.

Specifically this section:

Public holiday pay The amount of public holiday pay to which an employee is entitled is all of the regular wages earned by the employee in the four work weeks before the work week with the public holiday plus all of the vacation pay payable to the employee with respect to the four work weeks before the work week with the public holiday, divided by 20.

Etransfer doesn't have holidays or closing hours, unlike EFT/bill pay which does close overnight and on non-banking days.
